I reported something similar in the Bugs/Troubleshooting subforum. I noticed fleeing AI makes no effort to avoid traffic. I'm very disappointed with this 0.25 version. The AI got dumber and the car interiors got too dark with new shadows/occlusion. I wish I could go back to 0.24.
That's funny, that's not my experience at all. I noticed the suspects tends much less to slam into traffic and were actually challenging to pursue, i didn't try chase AI much but it seemed fine.
Weird. In my case the fleeing AI acted like the traffic didn't exist or had no awareness of it. I didn't use the AI app, just the normal UI. In 0.24, the AI would have awareness and swerve around the traffic.
When i tried in Italy they swerved quite beatifully between the traffic, sometimes they would crash but it would feel natural.
enabling/disabling nitrous disables the car, ctrl+r fixes this issue until you click the nitrous button again
I really enjoy traffic not brake checking me on the highway anymore. The Vulkan render is a miracle worker and gives me the insane performance I expect from this game.
Thanks. Your comment made me retrace my steps for how to reproduce this. The key is to delete the traffic and spawn a new set. I updated the bug report here: https://beamng.com/threads/ai-lost-intelligence.86804/
The default Pessima race configurations have a problem with over torque risk. I've driven both the rally and hill climb versions and they both consistently over torque and then shortly blow up. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned very much because it's been mentioned in #game-feedback in the Discord (do people call it BeamCord? cuz i wanna xP) by people experiencing the same issue. Is this a bug or a consequence of the updated 2.0L engine and the current tunes because I'm pretty sure that those engines aren't supposed to blow up after a couple minutes of driving.
A glitch that I have come across is that when removing the gearbox from the 2nd Gen Pessima, the front wheels decide to disappear to the lost city of Atlantis I have tested this in Safe Mode btw With Gearbox: Without Gearbox:
This behavior makes sense, because the game is running at 60 FPS therefore not using every single ounce of power it could in your CPU and Graphics when it was running at 200 FPS. Less load means less heat and more smoothness. FPS shouldn't fluctuate as much if at all.
Hi, quick question. Will there be any changes regarding transmissions? Mainly DCTs and torque converter automatics. I think it´s finally time and there are a lot of great ideas in “Powertrain feedback collection“ thread.
In my opinion, these sawhorse barriers should break into several pieces of woods (1 part for each red/white planks, each side pillards, etc..) to be more logic, and make the scenario "Knockaway: Blocked road" way less frustrating and more realistic (no more rage with weak wooden barriers that reverse a 3tons D-Series) Also, with the realism of others props that break in a logic way, (tv, fridge, piano, chair..) a remaster of older props like sawhorse barrier, wooden crate, planks, or barrel would make sense. Their jbeam is very outdated compared to the most recent props.
if you select the point of appearance of the tourist base on the ute, then the Perm loading game crashes with an error, it started after fixing 0.25.3 --- Post updated --- yes it looks like utah doesn't work completely (error 0xc00001b)
A lot of the mirrors in game seem to need work, a great example is the T-Series mirrors that send your view literally straight to the front of whatever trailer you’re pulling.
Was the key for resetting your cars back to a certain spawn point? Previous if I hit F7 it would move me back to the last spawn point I had selected. Now, if I hit F8 and put the cars to a new spawn point, the first one will go to it, but the next will in this test case would respond in a near location 15 feet in the air and drop, and I couldnt get it to stay at the desired location now matter how many times I tried.
That key was never F7 or F8, I don't think it even had a binding by default unless you mean the R key which also resets your car. You seem to have conflicting bindings now.
