new carbon fiber texture and a new normal map as the old ones were kinda bad havent tested the new normal map but i did test the new carbon fiber texture with a normal filter and the normals came out better than the old texture but the gray and black fibers generated different heights in the normal map with the filter i was using so i decided to make a new texture by only making it use the white fibers.
need time to work on things that arent this mod. i apologize for it being on hold and it will be back to wip as soon as i can
alright, i made more carbon textures. which should i keep, which should i remove or should i keep them all or none of the above and use the old texture in the mod that looks basically the same besides a worse gradient on the texture. 1, the og texture. 2, the newer texture. 3, the slightly improved newer texture. 4, the alternate weaving slightly improved texture. 5, the bright slightly improved texture. or 6, the dark slightly improved texture. also the first normal, new normal, new normal with same height on every weave color, and slightly improved new normal with same height on every weave color. hope all the images are here when i post it and arent compressed to 2 bits and i hope i didnt forget any
sneaky peaky: the minor texture update, kiseki update merge and mirror update which adds new texture and normal to carbon texture, adds the slightly broken beepy sound for the oil and turbo sound from what ive tested and i think more but i has a forgor

found out how to use the automated testing map in beamng. look what im doing with the lua=extensions.load('util_worker') function in the console while on the automated testing map . also for those less experienced with beamng and are new or didnt bother learning much, automated testing is not the same map as automation testing. automated testing can be found by enabling the "show auxiliary content" button thingy and its there for generating the performance info in the info_(insert config name here).json files in the mod
eudm/usdm dashboard needs some work but its there. need someone more experienced with blender and modeling to help me fix the actual gauge cluster and wheel column edit: did some small changes
offtopic but, you know how carbon fiber has 2 layers? like the actual carbon and the epoxy surface? normal maps dont really know what this is so when you apply a normal map to carbon, it just assumes the carbon is the surface and it doesnt look right. so, i got the brilliant idea to utilize the layers some image formats like tiff and dds support for more depth. so how this would work is that the 1st layer is under the surface and the 2nd layer and above is ontop of 1the actual carbon fiber. for this, well use 2 layers. so the first layer has the carbon fiber normals and the 2nd layer is a completely flat normal map. when used on a mesh with a carbon fiber texture, the normal map will have more depth and realism. the 2nd layer makes the surface flat and the 1st layer can have the light interactions. this is quite stupid but who knows? gamers want more realistic textures so heres an idea for more realistic textures --- Post updated --- sneaky peaky: the holy yapping of the yappingtons, sir yap yappington, yappachinno, yap yap yap ahh me update as im yapping
