Might I add good sir, that you are only reinforcing both my own and OPs statements that those on these forums willingly disregard the community guidelines to express hate for myself and the factual truth I post. Many of the forum are sickened by behaviour such as this.
Could possibly not be too difficult for your minds to assemble a logical and factual rebuttal to my own commentary without resorting to the lowliest of fallacy?

You would get a lot less hate if you conducted yourself like a mentally stable human being from this century and not some terminally-online 'man of culture' Redditor.

I know it's all an act, as trawling through you old posts shows you never used to behave like a complete moron. Plus, the fact you have kept this act up for this long is actually quite sad. I do pity you in a way as this thread is probably the most attention you have ever received. Sad individual.

 

No complex opinion, not hypothesis, no moral standing is "factual truth" and any who claim so are deceitful, whther they intend to be or not. Such arguments may be built upon facts, such as "A is not allowed under term B" or "entity C stated D", but they themselves are just arguments, arguments with values and limitations.

Though you continue to spread your cause, you are forever evading the utter fact that the developers, community moderators, and the majority of the active members of the forums have all expressed a view to the contrary of yours. The company itself has repeatadly stated that pay-to-download game mods are not only permissable within the legal frameworks of the internet and the nations where this application is marketed, but also not found to be at any moral fault.

Until you either a) bring up a truly new and innovative argument as to why pay-to-download mods are against the best interests of the company and/or community or b) provide solid evidence that they are not legal, then every post you make is a waste of electricity, time, keyboard wear, and screenspace.

@Skunky I'm going to get serious here: Lofty speech does not equate constructive speech. Analyze the points, structure, and logic of text regardless of how proper the text is. Many have been persuaded to believe that lofty words are intelligent, that shocking words are meaningful, that slick words are good, or that plain words are of less value. Do not be decieved. This is the practical, real-world application of critical thinking, fact checking, constructive analysis, and all the annoying things you learned in your Literature classes, and it is needed every day.

It is true that Winrar shoudl not be hated on, no one should be, but it is also true that they are fighting a battle not worth fighting and they aren't bringing up good points either. The devs don't have that much to gain or lose from paid mods being allowed or not: it's a small market, and we did just fine without them, and we are doing just fine with them. Considering that, I see no reason why the devs and moderators would be biased and I trust that they took time to consider the situation and made what they believe is the best decision. That being said, the discussion is not over, and civil, nonrepetitive, constructive discussion is always beneficial.
