Where did my camera smoothness go?

    Trying to promote an issue from this thread. I just ran my game in safe mode because I was bored and I found that my camera was much smoother. I found this thread and it describes my problem perfectly. I have also downloaded generic city and I think I noticed it.

    Please tell me how did you fix that, it just randomly happened to me and idk what to do
    Edit: somehow running the thumbnail generator fixes it instantly, I have no idea why
