Where did "agree" and "informative" ratings go?

the most simple and universal solution would be to add yay and nay, maybe people would just vote nay rather than express their opinion on how bad something is in a reply.

 

TIL you can bully people by labeling their comment as 'informative'. I bet the people who complained about that are just a very loud, clueless minority but whatever. In two weeks everybody will forget about it anyway, just like the transition to the new website a few years back.

 

I have to completely disagree that the "Like" and "Agree" buttons are "the same" they most certainly are NOT. I can understand why you removed the informative button as that has caused some issues in recent times but the agree button has been used thousands of times on the forum and never once abused. I myself found it very handy. Removing the agree button is determent to the forum as people now have to write a completely separate post, cluttering up threads to do what a little button did. I think the agree button should be re-instated for this exact reason. From what i can gather the ratings all seem to work the same so it shouldn't be harder or easier to remove some and not others so i think we should have like and agree buttons. Just my two cents but I think it should be considered by the forum mods.

To be honest, this thread has became a trainwreck. BUT. I agree, on that we should get agree back. Agree was very useful, and i wont let it fade away as easily. #bringbackagree

 

It was removed because some immature people used it as spam, but can't you do the same thing with like?
Also, shouldn't the problem fade away if the people get punished correctly? Example temporarily bans etc.
I understand it's annoying getting X amount of reports about it, but maybe the problem is also the lack of forum moderators?
It's a fix, but I don't really think it's the right one.

You completely missed the point, the problem is that agree wasnt used to spam, only "informative" was spammed. Agree just got deleted because of who knows why

 

what's this, like the 3rd or 4th time the devs have removed a useful feature form the site?

Remember profile posts?
remember the november drama in 2018 when we got loads of ratings?
remember the groups tab?

 

The problem is that they were abused, and there weren't enough mods to clean it up

 

I think beamng is slowly becoming like roblox. Roblox deletes useful features like, every update or so. Here it is not as often, but still is really irrotating, and the worst part is, our RIOT wont probably make devs bring back agree. I am still mad for devs for that.

 

Big rip to all of that, at the end we will get account feature deleted and this forum will be turned into a beam-chan imageboard from mid 00s

On a serious note, i really think the devs should tell us what they're going to add/remove from the forums before doing it.

At this point I won't be surprised if they just removed the whole thread system altogether, would be a loss for some people but hey at least they can't spam anymore
