Some pentium models were quite fast overclocked. Remember that right now BeamNG is best with fastest single core, as anything with 8 threads that single core speed is the limiting factor.

You have a Kaby Lake, eh? Just get a better KBL CPU like the 7700K or the 7600K. You can save some money in the process. ;)

His Pentium can't be overclocked. The last OC-able Pentium is the G3258, is it?

    I have a ASUS STRIX Vega64 O8G.
It is an amazing card. BeamNG doesn't use all its power tho

I wonder if it is because of resolution / fps cap? Usually for me it is either fps cap or CPU single core speed limiting, 1080 is not getting 100% much other situations than doing doughnuts, but it so depends from the map really.

Honestly don't know. This is overkill for the 1080p monitors I have I think. But I almost never get it to a hundred percent. At least not for long times. When loading, it might spike up for a second or something. But while playing, I have never seen it being higher as 84% when crashing multiple big models. Also, as it being a 0dB fan optional card. Its fans never spin up when playing BeamNG. They do when the temps get higher than 55,42 deg Celsius. When playing BeamNG, it is a quiet boi. But when I play GTA Online, it gets a blowery boi. But really BeamNG is not graphically demanding, and that is also quite logical. The CPU has to do most of the work p.e. calculating deformations, collisions and such. The map has some influence, but not really much, except for maps like pikes peak LIDAR. While drifting, the load doesn't exceed 75% tho.

WCUSA is kinda gfx heavy though, but it can be kinda confusing as some graphics options control also CPU load, but with fast single core WCUSA can be bit over 80% with gtx 1080 and few cars.

My gtx 1080 is Windforce edition so it is kinda quiet, by default fans start at 60C, but I have set them to start at 40C and stay on low until 60C where they start ramping up, but they mostly speed up when doing benchmark and even then it is relatively quiet, however puts out lots of heat.

Vega sounds nice card too, these kind of power levels are bit of overkill to 1080p indeed, but 6L V8 in passenger car might for some be overkill, it is not, it is called reserve :D

Then again if I play in 720p windowed and without SSAO or dynamic reflections, 1050Ti does just fine too, without too much heat, Automation test track is around 80% GPU load (60fps cap) with that setup, so sometimes I think if there really is need for such huge GPU computing power.

Then opening WCUSA at redwood spawn shows the need of more GPU power as 1050Ti is at 100% there and not quite able to keep 60fps.

8086k and gtx 1080 tends to be at limits at times at WCUSA though if running more cars 4 is fine, but 5 starts to get bit heavy.

Then there is maps like JRI where batching keeps CPU and GPU loads better in check.

Taking Bolide and doing doughnuts is sure way to get 100% GPU load though, that is kinda heavy smoking :p

im running a GTX 1050Ti with i3 and I am getting a solid 50fps, maybe more, depending on the track...I feel that the GPU is my bottle neck up until I hit maybe 3 cars then fps drops quick

AMD Vega 56, made by Sapphire. Used to be a Radeon R9 390 also made by Sapphire.

Works good with max settings, but hates shadows.

Mine is GTX 1050 with Intel i5. It does the job pretty well. Although, I wish it was just a bit more powerfull.

    Buy a used card.
A GTX 770 (which is hugely better) can go around the same price of the 1030 if you look into the used market.

yes the 1050 TI 4gb always was the best for me. Really good step-up with performance but lower price. Being a budget card it still played Watch Dogs really well.

MSI Gt1030. Wanted something more powerful like 700 or 900 series, but they won`t fit my HP Compaq 8200 case. It runs BeamNG pretty good, around 55 FPS on low settings but with good textures and lighting. Need new CPU becasue there`s I3-2100. Also I need more RAM.
Everyone say that 1030 is just something to fit into your GPU slot, but I think it`s enough for modern gaming. When I`ll save enough money I`ll buy Low Profile 4GB 1050, processor and RAM.
