Early planes like the First World War. On that subject, I think aspects BeamNG material physics could be VERY useful in some sort of combat flight simulator for damage modeling, especially for WWI era airplanes. How many .30 caliber holes in a spruce wing spar before the thing cracks under 2G load? With BeamNG’s material physics and good data you could come up with a plausible, rational, repeatable answer.
