Well really I only use meshlaps/leaked mods from modsgaming.us but many from here, so they're not exactly private
I don't get why people get annoyed when me or someone else posts a picture of a meshslap. It's still an image of beamng drive, even if it's a meshslap...
What really bothers me is "if you don't like people asking for your wonderful meshslap mods then why even bother posting em around here at all?" Once you tryna be different in the crowds, you'll gain some attention but if you cannot take it then just walk out!
be person who make meshslab adjust the jbeam until you're happy with it post in dev screens showcasing jbeam and features you added to it also post same images in community screens 5 hours later "you have 48 new messages" you read all of them you find: "gib mod" "beta test please but i'll just flex it on community screens and not help dev find bugs" "hey I really like this car irl can you please please please give it to me ok thans" People who flex these mods also annoy me. "look at me I have this mod that I bullied the creator about until they finally gave me it"
Bruh... OT: Just like some people said, postings a pictures of meshslap sometimes annoyed people, included the beggars who want the mod. And yes I'm agreed with @BrynCoops , that they created meshslap and post a picture of it to get people attention.
if you want people to betatest, here's an idea: in the version you upload, you add a couple of lines of code in the jbeam which deliberately cause an error, meaning that only people who at least know how to look for console errors, and thus who can so some debugging, are allowed to use the mod.
Like many other people in this thread, I don't really mind private mods. It's just really unfortunate that these pretentious meshlapers are clogging up the Forum with bootleg trash and Rubbing it in everybody's faces just to get attention. It very much reminds me of the shameless clickbait thumbnails we see on YouTube nowadays
its just turning into the old ROR forums again with the "hey look what I got, but u cant have it cause its mine" (insert finding nemo seagull here)
That's a good point. People who tell you they have private mods, but say "yOu cANt hAVE iT" can be very frustrating and annoying. Exactly, if people don't want others asking about private mods. They should just not post them.
A: YoU CaNT hAVe iT. It's PrIVate. B: Why? A: Because they're "MeShSlaPPed" Because they drive like TrAsh they crash like TrAsH. Because I use em to get people ATteNtion only so they'll try to ask if they can have em but you know whAt I wILL SAy! Am I correct?
The problem I have with meshslaps is that they crash so badly. I wish more people playing this game would acutally think of this game as a simulator with amazing crash physics and actually download mods that accompany the game well. Alas, I don't have any control over what people do to this game. And showing off in the community screenshots just for attention? That's just rude.
well, i mean some of the meshslaps deform pretty ok. Some of us still crash them, spikiness isnt really a huge deal for me (but excessive spiking is also bad something like this)
I can't entirely agree with your statement (as in that's not the only reason). Some people need motivation for getting a mod done, or it sits abandoned forever, as is the case with about 60% of posts.
