In April I bought a 1985.2 Porsche 944. I got it cheap since the original engine was damaged beyond repair (someone broke off one of the mounting tabs on the block so badly that it opened into the oil passages) After 4 months of putting the engine together, I have finally picked up the car and rolled it into the garage. Started the cleanout process.
wheel bearing done on my buick. Was finally able to drive it around some distance drove it to work hit some back roads. Great cruising car over boosted power steering makes steering light work probably the comfyest car ive ever sat in. Only bad part is i Hate the seatbelt design very uncomfy rubs on my neck but theres no belt warning or chime so i just uh like dont wear it theres no airbags so i can get away with it. Oddly enough gets some attention from people when out and about. The 3800 is a little underpowered for the weight of the car it struggles under certain conditions but on flat or slightly down hill road its geared so long that it just coasts and your barely on the gas. Ther series 1 3800 may not have power but it will outlast the human race itself lol Its the only thing on the car im not worried about breaking
I put da new spark plugs in me buick but itta still run kinda poopy. Slight missfire on ever cyl then sometimes the igniton timing goes wonk and it run bad. i look then observe The igniti8on control module get to toasty has released the forbidden goo and must be replaced. Then i need to replace the body control module or something.
i replaced a all of the old rotted leaking vaccum lines on my buick. Still runs bad at idle because the failing coil packs and intermittent ignition spark control module but in general has more power one line was a vaccum ref for the transmission and the trans now shifts a lot smoother and makes better decisions. One went to a big mystery plastic round cylinder box under the airbox that i dont know what it does but whatever it does it definitely does it better now. My phones still crap but i bought a small digital camera once i get a sd card for it i can finally take photos again. Goal for the car is it to eventually be my new daily/forever car list of things im doing to get it there is first get it to run right, new body module, convert the ac to r134A, rip out the rear air shocks and the air pump, then install the hydraulic reatta shocks i have(im worried about the rear air shocks failing some point so its better just to rid of em all together for traditional hydraulic shocks) Optional if i feel like it i might Remove the vynil top shell My mazda is currently my daily and would continue to be my daily but im might be renting a tiny home in a tiny home community soon and my mazda 6 is so stupid loud id probably get evicted lol
It was actually yesterday, but I have my 2017 Buick LaCrosse Premium all jammed out and prepped ready to be resprayed Frost White Tricoat on Monday. She was a peeling victim as a result of the previous owner regularly sending it through touchless car washes. I essentially had to strip the paint off of the hood, roof, both fenders, the deck lid, from the a-pillars all the way back to the quarters, the trunk jamb, as well as the driver side jamb. Just in time for winter.
