That's interesting Thanks for that. my family has a history with opel. my grandfather lived in hungary, and before the nazis got him, his family had an opel half track. they ran what was probably one of the first trucking companies in europe. opel has a cool history.
Amarks240, SixSixSevenSeven, that entire conversation phucked with me to no end, C10, K10, C20, K20, C30 and K30 have very different meanings to me. In other news, Should be going to look at this K20 tonight.
I love it! there are only so many letters and numbers right? c20. k20. Honda has a b series like the b18 and b20. Volvo had a b20 wayyyyy before Honda did. that's a sweet truck let us know for sure what you find.
Guess I could throw this up here too. This is a Buddy of mine's truck, 75 K20, before and after pictures.
Just realized that I'm an idiot, I work Sunday-Thursday, Friday and Saturday are my weekend. I just realized that today is Sunday, the bank is closed. Guess I'll try again tomorrow.
Hahahaha. talk about original? you'd also be the first to make the cover of both tuner and truck magazines. let's go further and try to make it functional. use the 2.4 block with a 2.0 head. garret gt35r and a 100 shot of nitrous to help low end. it would be a great challenge making it actually work the way a truck is supposed to. if you did it however you'd be guaranteed to turn a few heads, especially if you tow something heavy with it. the engine would look tiny in a truck bay. you could probably put In 2 of them and make your own "v8".
I think not. This truck has a dealer installed 350 with less than 8K miles on it, and I've a 71 454 in my garage that I need to get around to putting together. Last time that 454 was together it was in a 68 K20 8K LB Pro-stock pulling truck, and was in the 570-600 Horse range, and had been like that for several years, then one day a buddy of mine decided to see what a 150 shot of NOS would do, and on the first hook, it made a 441 ft pull, then on the second hook the 454 decided to remind us that a big block should not be doing 6500 RPM, and a main bearing said goodbye. He left it in my garage, I pulled it apart and it's been in a box for the last year and a half.
dang man. thats a real bummer! was it a hit and run? or did the person stop and apologize/give contact info and stuff for repair?
He gave all the contact info. My car is merely 18 months old, and this is the second time in 3 months, yay me.
No it's not. 500€, half the side is to be repainted (gradual spread of paint for optimal blend). Besides, that damn parlescent paint is expensive as hell, the bill might even get pricier...
Well, the guy's insurance will be paying for it. Honestly though, he seemed way more worried by my possible reaction, he even said he was afraid I could beat him up when we parted ways... #thuglife
