Literally I really can’t wait for the backfire, imagine with slow motion... oh man. That would make my videos even more cinematic and cool, hope it comes out with the update.
Technically afterfire is what causes flame out the exhaust. Backfire happens before the combustion chamber, usually in the air intake system, and causes a loss of power and potentially damage. Afterfire happens after the combustion chamber, usually in the exhaust or turbo piping, due to a rich air fuel mixture, where some fuel gets sent through the exhaust system after the engine which is burnt from the hot exhaust. Afterfire is what you hear with tuned cars, and in the video with the Moonhawk, not backfire. Not meaning to be condescending, just thought I'd help clear up a common misconception.
Not really. I think that @B25Mitch will make sure that the objects in the map are fps-friendly, maybe making all of the buildings attached to a base, so they're all one object. Maybe all of the road signs could be one giant object too..?
I'm pretty sure big boxes known as buildings are easier to render than many small "cylindrical" (or whatever shape they are in game) tubes known as trees. And with buildings you only have to render the sides you're looking at, so any meshes out of sight/behind it are not making it harder to run smoothly. The map will also have the same dimensions as ECUSA.
Because of excessive trees and the shadows they cast. I remember a friend and I were playing through a co-op game, at a certain part with lots of water my PC would encounter major FPS drops, while his was fine. But then at another part where there were lots of trees and shadows, he'd have a large FPS drop while I'd be fine. Our systems would average roughly the same frame rate at other parts of the game, only these two areas stood out. It depends on your hardware and drivers as much as the map design. WCUSA doesn't appear to have as much trees as ECUSA or even JRI. I expect performance to be closer to that of Utah where the towering terrain can be seen as an equivalent to urban skyscrapers. EDIT: Accidentally wrote it as if I knew the definitive answers, made it sound like my opinion now.
If my computer refuses to let me play west coast I'm gonna flip. MY CAR xD --- Post updated --- thanks enjoyinorc6742 for rating my post funny!
They should add something like this as a freeway possibly in the future PS: the pc specs are way different than the ones listed below
I am so hyped for this I mean I have been to all of the cities that this was based off of and now I can be a hooligan and wreck cars in the streets.
For those, wondering what WCUSA performance will be like. A dev, (his name escapes me at the moment) has said that performance will be significantly better than ECUSA.
It looks a bit like GTA 5. Someone has probably already posted this but I can't be bothered to go through and I should have gone 2 sleep 50 mins ago --- Post updated --- I hope it will be the 30th as its my birthday and I'll get a new (good) computer!
