To be fair, the rear wheels are actually too far back as is. They are the closest possible to the Engine. Remember that there is the whole engine, transmission, and a small driveshaft just to reach the Differential.

This is a Mercedes-Benz Low entry bus frame. The only measurement that could be smaller is the wheelbase (which should be under 3 meters for a DT30L like bus. All the the measurements on image are in meters/milimiters

I think the DT30L is based off of a real bus, the NFI D30LF:

The wheels seem to be in about the same place they are in real life.

Then, can't you move the rear seats back a little further? (because the engine, tank and radiator are under the floor) The only thing behind the seats is the brake lights and destination sign but that's fine, just don't move the wall too far back. Plus, you could always mount the engine transversely. I'm pretty sure there are buses out there with transverse mounted engines.

The connector on the twin-frame articulated buses gets pretty janky when taking damage, but I can't see how this couldn't be done anyway.

There are, but they have their own "platform". Also they are all European, while the Wentward is USDM. US and Canadian buses all have the HVAC things over the engine, thats why the rear wall is forward

Why not use a shorter engine then? (A Straight 4 Diesel the same size as the Straight 6) and given the big size I'm pretty sure there would be very little sound difference. Or at least make the rear end a little flatter [the engine still has some spacing from the rear panel that you could shorten by 2 or 3 inches]

The cost to make a large displacement inline 4 would be astronomical since nobody makes one. It's not worth it for a couple more inches. Also, an i4 that's the same size as the i6 would be... the same size? Also a large displacement i4 would not be a very smooth running engine compared to an i6.

I guess he talking about an Inline-4 with the same cylinder volume as the Inline-6. So, for example, the 14.7L I6 the T-Series uses would become a 9.8L I4.

What would the H at the end stand for? If it's "high floor", then that doesn't make sense to me as it would only specify L in the current version since low floor buses were a new thing at the time. I assume the predecessor would have been high floor when all buses were high floor, so therefore have no need to differentiate.

Hello, This is a excellent mod and working in v.33 but there is only one problem is that it breaks the regular dt40l
Its say broken mod or outdate mod when i spawn regular dt40l (The original Wentward )
