Yeah, there are very little info about school buses online. I searched the Cummins 5.9 bus engine torque curves for hours. They are really hard to find, though there are plenty of torque curves for Dodge pickup Cummins diesels, but the bus engine has much more torque than them.

Do you need the my 190 hp engine or just the 4-speed transmission? I made also an 6-speed Allison 2500 automatic transmission, but it doesn't want to shift down to 1st gear when driving uphill for some reason. I can post the parts here or PM them to you, if you want.:D

The Cummins 5.9 liter is the same diesel engine that is used in the Dodge Ram pick-up truck. (Just like the Ford 7.3 liter PSD shares components with the International T444E, which is also a 7.3 liter V-8 diesel.)

In my opinion, the 5.9 liter Cummins diesel is too small for a full-size school bus. I also think that the T444E is too small for a full-size school bus as well. Although, horsepower ratings on the Cummins 5.9 liter range all the way up to 275 horsepower.

Found this from a school bus forum.

yes if you will I could use the engine and the transmission! PM me

I think the 275hp engine would be good for a school bus, maybe we could bump it to 310?

For some reason the "Fun to drive!" engine doesnt reverse. It will go into reverse gear, but it wont go backwards and actually kinda slightly jerks fowards. Is this intentional? I have also noticed some MASSIVE spiking of the wheel hubs when a wheel gets ripped off. Other than those two problems, i love this thing

The fun to drive engine is the engine that the silver bullet config uses. The engine partially uses thrusters so it's impossible go reverse. You can drive the bus in neutral too.

The Fun TO Drive engine will be replaced with a new one that uses more horsepower instead of thrusters, it will have normal reverse since no thrusters will be propelling the bus forward. Also the spiking of the wheels will be fixed when the breakgroups for the wheels are removed in the upcoming update, but it means the wheels wont be able to break off in a crash, its a temporary fix

Still more updates to come! I'm finally tackling some of the more complex jbeam issues, this may take a while but it'll be a final update for the bus Version 4 with vastly improved jbeam,Cheers!
