Currently, the in-game mod manager works ok. You can install, disable, uninstall, and update mods there. But I find it quite difficult to navigate mods quickly. For example, navigating through the menus is clunky and confusing. If I click a mod in the repository to read more info, I need to click "repository" at the top instead of "back". Back will bring me to the main menu which is counterintuitive. While the in-game UI is ok for simple modding, I think a web-ui that saves mod installations and version numbers via an account or a local IP domain would be better. It would also open up the possibility for modpacks, auto-installation of pre-requisite mods, and better filtering of the repo
Try AVA Mod Manager, I think you'll like it. I'm one of the developers of the program, so if you ever need any feature, we can add it - we're building the mod manager for the community based on your own suggestions)
What does advertising have to do with it? The person suggested something that already exists in the mod manager, so I pointed it out. I don't really understand what the issue is.
mate. the suggestions sector is meant for the bloody devs. not random people. it does not matter if you "solved" it, that doesn't solve the goddamn issue in the game.
the forum section description says "Present your ideas and make suggestions", and the Rules don't say a word about this place being only for official suggestions to the developers. Plenty of people reply to other threads in this same category and share their mods without any issue. Why the complaint out of nowhere?
I don't step here, if I was a regular in this sector then you'd hear these words repeated the exact same to others doing it.
You can do whatever you want, that's entirely your right, but when you write something to people, at least point out what they actually did wrong. You're telling me this section is only for suggestions to the developers. Where does it say that? There's nothing like that in the section rules, I'm not breaking anything, and if such a rule does exist and I missed it, I'll delete my post. But you still haven't shown me where it says that all posts must be addressed only to the developers and not to "random people", as you put it, or why you decided you can forbid me from posting something and call it an "ad" when it's a post with just a title, no links or anything else. Please show me where it says that suggestions here are only meant for the developers and that modmakers aren't allowed to share links to working versions of the features being suggested. If you can't provide that, then please stop calling me out over nothing.
