    it seems that the gtx 1650 video card supports vulcan, the new rtx 3050 will come soon, maybe it will work fine on it

    16 GB, ryzen 5 3600, gtx 1650, but soon there will be rtx 3050, which should boost fps by 20 30 frames

    I'm not sure if it's specifically Vulkan API bug, but this is where I mostly encounter it. The UI apps frequently disappear for me, and it mostly seems to be at random. I can be editing UI apps, switching back and forth edit mode and out of it, adding UI apps and out of them and then they all just disappear, and even if I switch to a different preset sometimes they will be empty as well. Sometimes it also happens when loading into time trial, UI apps seemingly reset and just disappear from the screen

    Anybody else encountering this issue?

    Edit: it seems to happen after saving a config and while it generates a thumbnail, I was also alt-tabbed but dunno how much it affects the result

    Hello, as you can see in the images below, when using the Vulkan renderer this appears.

    Specifically, it only appears in Johnson Valley. The only way I've been able to get rid of it is by putting the game in safe mode with vulkan.
    I have cleared the cache, verified the files and reinstalled the game, but it still appears, and as for mods, I don't have any.

    My specifications are:
    CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
    GPU: RX 6700
    VRAM: 10GB
    RAM: 2x16 GB (3200 Mhz CL 16)
    Driver: 23.30.13.01-231128a-398226C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition
    OS: Windows 11 23H2
    Game version: 0.31.2
    Graphical settings: Ultra preset at 1080p, frame limiter and vsync disabled

    Delete the folder with settings 0.31 completely and everything will be ok

    Hello, when using Vulcan renderer this happens to my truck. I checked it both on Utah and Italy and the issue still appears (I have cleared the cache too). However it only (from my experience) occurs when i try loading "test1" configuration (Tandem drive fifth wheel with an aero cabover) after loading any long bed configuration. This is my first time troubleshooting, I have no idea if this is an issue with my truck configuration or if it's something else. Launching in safe mode or non Vulcan renderer stops this issue from happening too. The only mod I have is BeamMP, but i doubt it's doing anything wrong.

    Hardware specs:
    CPU: Intel Core i5-12500
    GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060Ti
    RAM: 2x16GB
    OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
    GPU Driver: 31.0.15.3758

    I have a video and a few more screenshots of this happening if needed.

    I've already tried it, and had zero effect xd
    I have also tried reinstalling drivers and a clean reinstallation of the OS, but it still happens.

    i cant launch vulkan,any time i try gives me the fatal isv assert failed at file error,what the hell can i do (cuz i already did the deep cache cleaning,verified the integrity and launched vulkan in the safe mode)


    my specs are:
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz 1.19 GHz
    Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
    System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    So I dunno what happened but vulkan is now working fine for me. I launched it with `-gfx vk` as a launch option. I'm back to getting a 20-30FPS boost over DXVK on Linux.

    My specs (which according to this thread as well as my past experiences should not work at all) are as follows. Mesa has received several updates recently, maybe that's what got it working again?

    OS: Arch Linux x86_64
    Kernel: 6.1.69-1-lts
    Resolution: 3840x1600@144Hz
    WM: sway
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (32) @ 3.400GHz
    GPU: AMD ATI Radeon PRO W6800
    Memory: 64218MiB
    Mesa Version: 1:23.3.2-1
    I still can not get this to launch in vulkan with the `-gfx vk` option on the steam deck or in gamescope on my desktop (basically the same as what the steamdeck does). I'm not quite sure why but I get a gray rectangle and no menu interface. Not a big deal though because I can launch it from desktop mode on the SD or via regular steam without gamescope on my actual desktop.

    After doing some testing in Vulkan, I noticed that Vulkan seems to struggle compared to DirectX, despite low GPU usage. This is especially noticeable when comparing Vulkan and DirectX when on ultra graphics.

    Here is the FPS that I was getting in various scenarios (all tests were done at the default spawn points, in safe mode, using preset graphics modes):

    DirectX:
    Ultra Graphics:
    Grid Small Pure: 94 FPS
    West Coast USA: 35 FPS
    Italy: 39 FPS
    Lowest Graphics:
    Grid Small Pure: 360 FPS
    West Coast USA: 114 FPS
    Italy: 152 FPS

    Vulkan:
    Ultra graphics:

    Grid Small Pure: 84 FPS
    West Coast USA: 8 FPS
    Italy: 9 FPS
    Lowest graphics:
    Grid Small Pure: 306 FPS
    West Coast USA: 132 FPS
    Italy: 115 FPS

    Hardware and resolution? Traffic on or off? Also realistically most people will run a mid-high setting mix, at which Vulkan will probably outperform Dx11

    Yeah, I don't run the game at ultra graphics ever, usually low-mid graphics (or else my pc will suffer, lol) but I was just showing how when there is strain GPU wise, Vulkan becomes far worse than DirectX (at least for me). I just find it weird why Vulkan barely uses my GPU. It stays at a low usage, BeamNG says the bottleneck is my GPU, but it's only at ~25% utilization with VRAM to spare? Anyway, I have an i5-9300H, a laptop GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM, 16GB DDR4, and I'm running the game at 1080p. No traffic, just loading into each map, not even moving the camera. You are right about how mid-high graphics aren't as bad, but even at the lowest settings, DirectX still outperforms Vulkan on my system. I should also mention that when I am running in DirectX, BeamNG almost always uses all of my GPU (which is fine for the FPS I'm getting)

    After replacing the gtx 1650 with rtx 3050 frames per second, it became 15 frames more, but the main vulcan loaded and gave an additional 10 frames, despite the fact that the gtx 1650 had 9 frames on wcusa, and the 86fps. The dx11 has 75 frames.

    however, before the collision, the game freezes, as in the very first versions.This is exactly in vulcan mode

    Interesting Vulkan issue for me. On Italy (I haven't tried other maps, but by the looks of things the issue would still persist) when I spawn in the fps is in the 100+ range, which I think is better than when I start the game with DirectX. But when I spawned in a different car from the D-Series, the fps just plumeted to around 50 fps. Tried changing to other cars, including back to the D-Series, but the fps just stayed there. My gpu also decided to max out to 100% when the fps dipped to 50, but when it was at 100+ it was around 80-90%.
    CPU : Ryzen 5 5600
    GPU : RTX 2060
    RAM : 32 GB DDR4 3200MHZ
