Color selector doesn't work for me.

We really do need a stock part config. Default just remembers the last combination of parts you had.

Screwed around a bit with the jbeam and put on the GM's steelies. Took me forever to get the right coordinates... :(

    I'm using the newest version.
I don't see why he'd be against it. It has the correct bolt pattern and now other wheels from the Grand Marshal could also be added from what you learned.

Delete the mod, clear the cache, install the mod. Likely a cache error or an overwriting of old mod version.

The deformation isn't terrible, but right now I wouldn't call it good either. Your jbeam needs a lot of adjustment as things bend improperly. The roof doesn't behave like a car's roof, here's a similar volvo being murdered

This is what happened to the real car,
    jg8nvb5k.png

As happens to most cars. Look at what happens to your car

For some reason the B pillar is fully capable of keeping the roof perpendicular to it, which means the car doesn't deform authentically. Subtle things make all the difference. because I'm looking at things like this and noticing it. One more thing that stuck out to me is that fenders peel off the car too easily, they're bolted on to the underbody in reality and crumple with it. Its rare I see a fender come off of an 80's car in a crash. Look at this video, you clearly see the car has a tendancy to bend and crumple rather than fall apart.

I'm also seeing here that the car's front will crumple up almost entirely before the pillars start to bend significantly. Not so in your car. The only authentic thing about how yours crashes is that the rear fenders get slightly dented from the forces in the impact. What I've also found is that the volvo 200 series is unibody. Why have you made it body on frame? and why is it leafsprung?

I'm fully aware of these problems, however, due to the great difficulty of fixing them, I haven't.
It's not perfect, and I'm not capable of producing perfect simulations for a free download.
You're perfectly welcome to build a better 242 or modify my own to your high standards.

    EDIT: I take that back.
I know you're not trying to be rude.
But like I said, these are very difficult problems to fix.
I'll probably have to completely re-JBeam the car to fix these problems, which at this point, I won't.

I encourage you to release your mod :D

My work is basically "anything goes as long as people know I made the thing"

    Hmmm.

Looks great but quite unrealistic, a real volvo 242 does not get damaged.
