zzzzzzzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzZzzz *wakes up and screams in terror* sorry, i was just having nightmares about this thread dying
A few miles from me is an old Volvo 240 in hedges. It was full of boxes. I really want to see it again but I can only assum it's to hidden or full of boxes.
I have transitioned to blender 2.80 and I am loving it! I found a free model of my volvo. I have been editing it. --- Post updated --- I will be doing a sedan and wagon. The votes are high for the dual body.
I woud take my hat off for you: i dont have one on. Trust me. You are doing well. Im hoping to go exploring of that "hedged volvo"
Thank you. When this is done you can re-create in beamng. I will need help with the jbeam. The model is just about ready to go in-game.
I am making the model more beamng-friendly. The mesh is still a little blocky but I can fix that. I will need someone to help me jbeam because I have no experience in that. --- Post updated --- I have started work on the 4 door sedan body.
the I-series jbeam is perfect for the sedan. it would not be hard to adapt it to a wagon body. your only issue would be suspension
Could I make the jbeam from a lower polygon model than this? The jbeam of the beamng cars looks like a low poly version of the car.
Please, since you have modelled your own model, put some effort into it and create your own jbeam structure, your mod will be less garbage.
That model is one I modified. It was taking way to much time to model everything so I just decided that it would be better to use a lowpoly base and work from there. If I had not found that model this thread would no longer exist.
If you're not sure what you're doing though, it's much more accurate to just modify an existing jbeam. since the etki is from around the same era, is about the same size, and has the same drivetrain layout, it's a very good place to start.
Hey @BeamCar this looks awesome! The car model looks really well and I am excited to see further progress. I hope that this will not die because I love the Volvos from this era.
