Cryptovirus, accidentally got it from DRIVERS! (for a TV tuner card). And that deleted lots of family pics, whoops
i was testing spy softwereon my laptop that i made it sent everynoise that was picked up by the microphone and anything that moved on camera and it just showd a fake windows update screen
Last time I had one was a few years ago back on my older computer when I had Windows 7. I actually have no idea how I got it. One day I logged into my computer, then it froze for a few seconds, and it reverted to the Windows Classic theme for "performance" reasons. I scanned with Avast, and it started to find threats. I opened task manager, and there were multiple proccesses with "Agent" in their name. I later found out that the virus had also infected Chrome (antivirus didn't detect it), which caused it to create copies of the virus when I opened it. Ultimately, it took ~4 days to get it removed completely. Fortunately, nothing was lost.
spyware, malware, and adware. I got it from downloading off an unsafe site, i was trying to download a minecraft map.
I've never had an actual virus... I've had plenty of malware trojans though. I've gotten a lot better at not getting malware though. The malware that I have had was always from running an exe that I should not have run.
