What do you mean? Sure I myself didn't expect the version to jump from 0.6.1 to 0.7.0, but the increase in version number is decided from how much content have been added to the game, right?

Well, as the guy above me stated, the first post in this thread is constantly updated to show the likelihood of features appearing in a future update. However, it is just "speculation" after all, and we may still have to wait for a few updates to get things that seem likely given the information that we are given by the devs...

The reason (to me at least) that it is listed in green (that is, "very likely"), is that the files that appear in the picture we were given a few days ago seem to cover all of the things needed to implement the new drive-train model. The only exception to that is that it leaves out CVT transmissions (which are in the game already), and it implies that we also will also be getting some engine other than "combustion engines" (electric, steam, etc.), which are not in the game yet.

This is all assuming that these lau files are indeed complete, and do not have a huge list of bugs that would prevent them from being integrated into the game.

Unfortunately, that means that the short answer is that we don't know, but it seems likely.

The combustion engine lua is what really interests me... are they making actual changes to the engines?

OT- I Really think the Legran should have a cheesy Gotta-go-fast imitation with Alter Sporter (Or Rush, whichever ones are on the Sunburst in the Port Shakedown scenario), A small lip spoiler, and a bron interior with Jet Black paint stock. aNd most definitely a manual trans. and a 1.3 L Turbo I6.
