So it is 600-sized after all... - Why such a big engine? According to @Falkrum engine is over 1.0L... - Why does it still have 4 front blinkers? Early models should have no lights in the front fascia if they are equipped with fender blinkers... Did you really mistake them for side blinkers...?
remember when they said the Piccolina was "extensively customizable"? it seems the speedometer falls into that notion as well- remember the older screenshots of it? they both feature a single-gauge dash, like the actual fiat 600 itself. i'n assuming that that gauge cluster we saw is actually either a custom part or only for the last generation of piccolinas
get over it. it doesnt have to be exactly like you and flying want. spamming about inaccuracies is ANNOYING.
- Gameplay-related reasons. More fun - There are no 4 front blinkers. Front Fascia is made of 2 headlights and 2 position lights.
it is not about inaccuracy, it is about just wrong desing, car like that would not sell IRL as well as the 600 IRL, as the big engine would make fuel consumption and service costs quite high. Good to know, it looked way too big. so now basically everything but the engine and weird front indicators/marker lights deal looks decent. I figure with some modifications we could figure out a perfect classic Italian city car
And I always thought the strive for realism, showed by stuff like the base model Pessima, Sunburst or LeGran, wasn't just marketing BS... But no, gotta have another inaccurate game!
And so, no blinkers after facelift...? I guess having separate position lights matches some weird idea of "economy car"... or it's just a late excuse to justify a design mistake?
I do understand the "gameplay argument", but isn't having really under powered 2 cylinder half of the fun? Also I remember that people were able to get the 2 cylinder from fiat 126p to over 70hp, which would be plenty enough for a tiny car like that. Also about the beatle, a popular modification for a fiat's twin cylinder engine is to use cylinders and pistons from the Beatle, which increases the displacement to around 800cc IIRC, and allows you to get 60-ish hp with a decent cam and good carburetor.
So is constantly shutting down any discussion about this. Maybe you can get over the fact that people want cars to fit the setting they are supposed to be from. No one is even asking for anything difficult here. Personally I’m fine with strange design choices in general as long as they are somewhat sensible and would’ve been legal in the contemporary setting, but I am not going to shut down the discussion of someone who has a valid reason against it or a better alternative.
^ I don't get why this is getting so heated as discussion. Please do me a favor and relax the tones It's rare for economy cars of that era, but it adds to the design of the car. Some Autobianchi cars had this as well (Bianchina). I don't understand the blinkers question. There are multiple options for them, you'll see in a few days
THANK YOU lets just wait and build one that suits your personal requirements if you have any issues with such small details.
It is not a detail if so many people notice it. If you'd want to talk about details I'd for example talk about how is the ignition/starter lever connected (some old fiats like 126 had a starter lever in the floor). Blinkers and engine options are not details.
Wrong. The Bianchina had white blinkers that also worked as position lights. Much like the 500, the 600, the Beetle, the Simca 1000 and whatnot... It was the most common solution at the time, so much that in Italy white front blinkers were mandatory so that multifunctional integrated lights were possible...
