well, the 22nd is my birthday so that would be cool but its a saturday so might possibly be on the 21st, friday....seems legit lol
Doubt it. All American buses are diesel and most are turbocharged, so that'd basically be telling obvious information and might aswell be calling it the 40L. It's probably: D = Detroit T = Twin door 40 = Length in ft L/AL = Low floor / Articulated Low Floor Wentward DT60AL?
DT might actually stand for "Diesel Turbocharged" if you look at the Table for New Flyer buses. As much as I do not like straight up copying IRL stuff... Wentward DT40L is basically a modified New Flyer D40LF, so it is logical that articulated bus would be called DT60L. To be honest, going by your logic, the fact that a 60ft bus is articulated, is more obvious than the fact that the bus is diesel powered.
Singularly diesel busses here are becoming kinda rare. I live in the suburbs and commute to a city. In the suburbs most busses are hybrids now. In the city most of the busses are fairly old; I’m sure the next batch of new busses will at least be hybrids, maybe something more advanced.
Same here. Except most busses are CNG-powered, some are hybrids, some fully electric. Diesel busses have pretty much disappeared.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFI_Group_Inc. read this, especially the "discontinued models" section and look at 1989 year.
Nah everyone knows it is for "Drift Tap" It is called like that since wentward used drift tap with a bus as a punishment for its employees who were slacking on developement of the joint of an articulated bus.
It’s based on a Canadian bus. We have so many US/Japanese vehicles, it would’ve been nice to get something different and this would’ve been a good opportunity. This was the best shot the Canadians had at having something patriotic for them.
I'd guess the wentward is basically American, but the origin vehicle could be another country. It might be a fictional company based in a different company than origin.
