let me rephrase: this engine bay; is incredibly open, allowing you to see all of the engine, unlike the engine bay of say, the legran: now this may not be the best example, but you can still see how less of the engine is visible in the legran, and how the legran's engine bay has a ton more "clutter", which de-focuses your attention from the engine to the whole bay, unlike in the AB (new vehicle) where there is so little-to-no clutter that your eyes focus on the engine, and the engine alone. as such, being the main centerpiece, shall we say, it requires a higher level of detail but hey, that's just my theory
Ah, now I understand your thought, indeed you are correct there! Older vehicles like Covet could use bit of beefing up details too, though. Also hoses/wires are not making much sense in it, newer vehicles generally seem to have more detail, though. If we compare alternators of these which both are quite well exposed, there is big difference in level of detail, maybe they have upped level of detail which they aim and at some point older vehicles get graphical overhaul? Bus has some details too:
huh, i've never really taken the time to look at the texturing, but WOW, what an improvement since just a few years ago!
the moonhawk has never been updated engine wise and that could use some more detail, so could the bolide but that is not very visible
The old ibishu engines look like they're from a mid 2000s online game. D: Even just upping the res on those textures would improve it 10 fold...
Why are we trying to debate about which exact real life car the i-series is based on? All official vehicles are a mix of a lot of things, and partially unique. Arguing about real-life counterparts is a waste of time.
how about the I6 d-series? it has a really basic engine model, and wires which don't even connect to it!
Yeah, when comparing these latest vehicles and how detailed their engine bays are to older, we can quite safely say that there will be updates to older vehicles at some point as they really can't have so different visual quality between vehicles.
ETK I-Series is clearly based on 1980s BMW saloons, such as E23 7-Series, E28 5-Series, etc. with some styling cues from 80s Audi models (front end/ grill and headlights).
In my opinion the race edition of the i series looks a bit like an older Mercedes to me. I can‘t recall the exact model right now
Pretty much. OT: Is it possible that this brand might be a predecessor of ETK? Seems far-fetched, but then again we'll have to see...
Check the dev blog, the last photo shown is a new marque, or vehicle brand, when I see it, it looks like a backwards J touching a normal J making a sort of upside down T, Jargl Squit, anyone?
