CarlosAir primarily made the DT40L. According to the .gmbh site, there is another vehicle artist aswell.
More than that, there is Gabester, Jalkku, Mitch, CarlosAir and a couple of others. Not sure what they actually spend their time doing considering the vehicle release schedule, but hey.
Many of us do not have a single task. Some also work on levels, helping coding and side-projects. But don't worry, vehicle development is not halted.
About cars. A lot of people want new vehicles but what about new parts? Are there any plans to make more aesthetic or useful parts for existing cars?
What exactly is considered completion? 0.20? 1.00? I'm not sure how the timeline works. Wow. I mean, little to any of that will probably come to fruition but it's exciting nonetheless. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the Albatross. If the idea is to create a 1970s large, personal luxury car (Lincoln MKIV/V, pre-77 Eldorado/Toronado), then why make it look exactly like the GTASA Buccaneer: a 70-72 Monte Carlo? Not only was that an intermediate, not a fullsize and not a luxury car, the Moonhawk is already extremely similar to the Monte Carlo, aside from being one generation newer on the 73-77 GM A-bodies. The big, personal lux coupe is something that Beam could do an excellent job recreating, but not by making something so similar to the Moonhawk. Also, I've been saying this for a while, but the Moonhawk needs more variants. A sedan, at least. The wagon would be a nice addition to the LeGran, considering the popularity of both the A body wagons and the K-car wagons of the time. Coincidentally, the GM "dustbuster" vans were actually based off of the A bodies as well so building a minivan off of the LeGran would be appropriate (and easier), and people have wanted a minivan for a long time. I predict the styling would be more formal and squared off, like the 91-95 Chrysler vans. If the beaufort would be a fullsizer, that means it's probably not based off of the Moonhawk, and late-70s probably means post-downsizing. Maybe an early, boxy version of the Grand Marshall? The Charmond could be epic. The Renault 5 is very unique due to its powertrain configuration (Longitudinal FWD, like a Saab 900) and has interesting styling. The 205 is a great car as well, and with one (or more) maps taking place in the old world, a small 1980s European runabout would be a welcome addition. I'm also a big fan of the Fait one and Fiat 126 mods, I'd love to see beam do a European market vehicle.
I bet that the next vehicle is planned one, because they follow a pattern of planned car, not planned car, planned car, not planned car, and the Bus was not planned, but the Soliad Wendover, and the Bluebuck are planned, so maybe we could get the Bluebuck, unannounced vehicle, and then the Wendover?
sorry, i'm terrible with names! --- Post updated --- thats why we have a giant ram plow on the T-series
To be honest, we just need a snowy map in general. We have desert (WCA and Utah), Islands (JRI, Small Island), Forests (WCA, ECA, HR, Italy), Mountains (Italy), but no snow yet.
What I want to happen: updates going to at least 0.15 or the full version will ocasionaly be updated or maybe new cars on steam as a DLC(Would not want the DLC thing to happen). Also perhaps if the development goes to like 0.15 or something then the full version will (please) have at least 1 new car not added in the early access. Also we're currently on alpha so maybe we'll get beta versions. --- Post updated --- 0.13 wishlist: Italy New car(s) Carrer mode (I'm geussing its being added anytime between 0.13 and the betas if they are ever betas. If theres no betas then between 0.13 and full game) Also, Will there be another vehicle poll?
IMO, the "1.0" version won't come anytime soon... We're currently on 0.12; to be be on 1.0, the team would need to skip quite many versions and could bring some bad speculations about the company itself like "forcing" people to buy the game since it's ready, but in reality, it still would be in Alpha/Beta stage. Not saying that this is the way it will happen, but it's just a speculation of how thing could work out in a bad way for the company. Maybe I'm wrong & they know what will happen & HOW it will happen... Guess time will tell But seeing a sudden jump from 0.12/0.13 to 1.0 would be a bit weird. (as weird, as seeing ElementaryOS (Linux) jump from 0.4.1 to 5.0 suddenly to try to bring in new people with just a number)
The game wouldn't jump from 0.12 or 0.13 to 1.0. The devs said that the game could be completed in the next year or two, and since the game follows an update schedule of about 3-4 months, the game could be in 0.16 or more by the time 1.0 is released.
It's not weird. It's normal. Jumping from a 0.xx to 1.0 is an usual procedure to announce that the developement state changed from Alpha/Beta to Full Release. As you said, they would skip many version numbers, but I think it is ok, because no one wants to release 65,523 further versions just to release the final version ... (at most as a marketing strategy)
I was kind of hoping that Italy would have some snowy mountains, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
I'm not even going to post this to this thread, it deserves it's own. It is super interesting, and it talks about the future of BeamNG. Some really interesting stuff got told about BeamNG's and Automation's relationship. https://www.beamng.com/threads/regu...ng-automation-relationship.54256/#post-843138
Now since the tunnel is complete at the bridge in WCUSA, I’m predicting that this will be the connections for the West Coast USA highway via tunnels in the mountains.
