I'm sorry for this being offtopic, but I just launched BeamNG & suddenly a Steam window popped up saying the ingame files are different from the ones on cloud... Was there some sort of secret update, or are they (BeamNG) doing something interesting?
Can I ask why you're certain that we won't see any updates until April? We've got pictures of a new, fully completed* vehicle running around WCUSA - usually those come ahead of an update by only days or weeks. A month-long wait isn't impossible, but I can't imagine the dev team would put up pictures of an apparently complete vehicle and then leave the community plunging into confusion as to why it hasn't been released yet. *This isn't like the Hopper, where it was rolling around without headlights or an interior. Granted, we haven't seen the engine or the rear of the bus yet, but the heavy lifting of interior modelling, UV mapping, chassis texturing, and creating the front signage system all appears fully finished.
My estimate is because updates take a while to finish, and they like to release them around the holidays. We also got an update last easter.
Maybe it'll be sooner than expected then. Quite much information has been released so my guess is it'll be before April. But hey, I might be completely wrong on this
I'm going with late April. It's a fairly common time for BeamNG updates and the past 3 updates or so have taken longer than the updates before
Does anyone think more camera effects will be added for a bigger sense of speed? we already have the FOV changing at higher speeds, but maybe more camera reactions to bumps and when reaching the top speed the camera has a bit of shake? But to stay on topic: Since BeamNG now works in cooperation with Audi for autonomous driving, this may mean improvements for ai in the game, maybe even having it aware of its surroundings
Wait. Beamng is working with Audi? I missed something. Can some one explain? OT: I know its a bit older now but the bus looks fun. Maybe the bus will run the bus route?
I know that from Deers post, but how do you guys know? Did I miss a thread? OT: I wonder if they could integrate the stuff the do with Audi into the game
Yes, it would be awesome if the ai could actually follow traffic laws as they drive around, and be able to navigate around other ai cars.
