It's these small features that keep me drawn to the thing. I really hope they expand parts for the H-Series and potentially MD-Series as well. More options and variety. The D-Series is the only vehicle as far as I know that allows you to swap small little bits such as door handles, door panels, taillights, and has I believe 3 generations? I really love that about it. The staggering choice of mirrors and even fascias is really nice. Hell, the early fascia even allows you to change the blinkers and headlights. One part I hope finally gets an update is the retractable fender antenna. It is currently triggered with the lightbar bind, which 1) collides with the lightbar, obviously, and 2) makes it ignition dependent. When you switch the ignition off it raises back up. I believe they may have actually already touched it up, as I don't remember it being chrome on the MD previously.
Yeah since you brought up the H-series, it to should definitely have an option for hand crank windows, even the Roamer, Lansdale and ‘96 Pessima should have them in their respective base models.
It might be DFA, I know it often breaks stuff on the D-Series --- Post updated --- Why are y'all arguing over something that doesn't exist and likely won't exist
As someone who regularly sees wheelchair-conversion minivans driving around my town, I, too, would love to have such an option for the Lansdale. However, it would be a lot of work for very little gain, so I don't see the devs doing that. A Type-A and/or -B bus variant of the H-Series would be more likely - and would work as a great alternative to the MD bus and the DT40L.
Well, we learn something new every day. And I agree that the window crank could be utilized in later model configurations.
I don’t have DFA and disabled all my other d-series related mods, but the texture issues continue. I made a thread in troubleshooting yesterday, don’t wanna clutter up this thread https://www.beamng.com/threads/missing-texture-on-d-series.111372/
Well, it's been rather quiet in here. If nothing else i figure out which mod was causing the missing textures on the D-series, "fully customizable retro aerodynamic lightbar" by kemro. Now let's wait for the next teaser to drop I guess
Not exactly an Easter egg, but I did notice the almost immediate usage of the Moonhawk. The devs have been using that and the Barstow more and more in these recent videos and teasers. Like DriftinCovet pointed out a few pages ago, it makes me wonder if the devs have something in store for these cars in one of the upcoming updates. They haven’t gotten a proper update in years after all.
i wonder if digital dashboard would look normal with dlss, because with dlaa (a mod from repo) the speedometer just constantly morphes instead of swithcing numbers as it does with regular aa
I think the Moonhawk and Barstow will get something soon. They changed the prices for almost all configs on those two in 0.39.
We likely won't be getting that for at least two weeks - more likely three. The devs tend to release updates around mid-September, and have done so for the past four years. It'd make sense to me for the devs to drop the PS5 update with better polish around World Children's Day in Germany (20 September).
Really really happy to finally see proper anti-aliasing with modern upscalers in the game! The full suite of them including FSR 3 and 4 too! Though! Resolution scaling should be allowed to go above 100%. It's no-longer super needed with the full suite of upscalers, but it would be nice for high end systems and people who notice upscaler artifacts. I notice those issues as well, but a lot of the time with current DLSS versions they're subtle enough for me to not be bothered.
It looks just like the release videos for features, so either they’re starting parts of the changelog or it’s just that this feature is fully done. Also is this a vanilla map? Not sure
Now that they finally have all sorts of TAA algorithms in the game I wonder if they'll use them to get rid of GTAO noise. It's nuts how much worse it got with 0.39 even though they claimed it was eliminated in change log. I bet they will as they already added temporal component to GTAO with 0.39 - noise gets better when everything's static for a second, but it's not good at all when anything moves.
