Update Speculation thread

I found plans for 0.40, 0.41. As well as the fact that the console version was supposed to be released earlier. (Maybe someone has already posted this here before.)

This is not a leak, but just an interesting observation.

According to the GitHub repo (https://github.com/BeamNG/GitLabViz) it's a GitLab Issues visualizer made by them.
"Great to figure out who is working on what"
So I think a way for them to plan what to do next when developing in order of priority.
This part of the GIF

is just showing how much of each version they're working on. The minor releases (the .1 releases or .4) don't have many dates assigned to them because they're small bugs. Major releases have more. But most tasks don't have a "milestone" date (so unknown when they'll finish)

However it's not configured to show BeamNG's development, it's only there if someone else wants to use it.
Maybe the GIF was an example and doesn't reflect real development, or maybe it does.

Sorry for the somewhat late reply but it’s basically what that guy said, some people thought it was a 350/70Z in the first few teasers hence the Japanese brand connection.

 

Honestly the more I look at it the more I see a Z & FC3/4 Civic and less RCZ & TT

 

Really? I don’t see civic at all if I’m being honest, I see more RCZ with the front end of something else. I just can’t place what the front end reminds me of, something Japanese but I’m not sure exactly what

 

For me the blue track spec and the rallycross spec remind me of the GRC Civic, especially since in Forza you can equip a similar hood mounted lightbar on the GRC Civic as the rallycross Ardente has

That they've been probably doing console stuff for a while now

 

Yeah, it's not like they've decided we're making a console port now and just made it. It's been brewing for a long time.

 

So is the update releasing this week or next week?
