Update Speculation thread

Judging by how there's going to be a vehicle trigger for the sunshades (as shown in a teaser), I wouldn't be suprised at all if there's a trigger for that! Makes you wonder what else may be interactable in the Ardente...

 

They don't mean fully separate vehicles lol, just separate in the selector like how the MD bus is under wentward

 

Yeah, it'll probably be the week of the 3rd, at this rate (three weeks from now). I don't think we'll be waiting until mid-August (like 0.17) for the PC release, but I wouldn't be surprised.

The 24th is a Friday - we haven't had a Friday update in almost seven years (0.17 was the last one). While it's not nearly as silly as guessing the 12th, I think the 24th is also a goofy date to guess. IMO, if a day of the week hasn't had an update since 0.25, it's highly unlikely we'll ever get an update on that day ever again.

The big reason why the Charro was never split from the D-Series was because it would've meant more things in the common folder (and thus, more lag). That's probably changed, if the devs are willing to split the T- and TC-Series, but those two probably have less in common with each other than the Charro and D-Series.

The Charro has a shorter frame and a different style of body to the D-Series - the Tograc is some new panels and a different rear suspension over the Vivace. If the Tograc is going to be split from the Vivace in the vehicle selector, then the Charro should, as well. (And that's not considering the Autobuggy (which shares practically no parts with the Piccolina) or the MR Turbo Covet (a different unibody and engine position from the regular Covet).)

 

Its only in the vehicle selector, not in the files. Read more before complaining

 

To speculate on top of my speculation, now I'm wondering if the seat controls with WASD will actually move the seat and not just the camera.

How was I supposed to know you meant that? Every place I've seen worded the separation as being fully separate. I'm sorry, but I couldn't know.

 

I drive a lifted ranger so that totally counts as a compact car tf you mean we all drive trucks? Seriously though. If you even take away Beamng, you know these developers are excellent car designers. New car is gonna be my new Fast and Furious simulator.
