Even the Barstow and Moonhawk could have traction control - Buick first used traction control on their cars in 1971, and the Jensen FF had traction control (and ABS and AWD) in 1966. Granted, I don't expect either of them to get such features, but they could have them. Yes, it is.
In addition to Covet's post, the valve covers on the common Gavril V8 are basically a dead ringer for those on Ford's SOHC 4.6 V8 (part of the Modular family):
The next update will probably either be a minor refresh for the Pessimas or maybe a mild refresh for the k/800
WOW im thinking either a post pone update ( lets not think that yet lol ) OR it may be a smaller dec update, Witch am total ok with as devs are human and need rest to! a happy dev team is a happy beammg future Or i may be a massive update and teaser season is coming soon and will be woah. BUT i can not help but lust over the Moonhawk 4 door, Lots of people want it, there is a mod for it ( Dev team often users mods as ideas ) SO i hope/wont be shocked if ( or not ) we did get 4 door version. in saying that as someone who USE To hate jeeps, The hopper changed my mind, so i wont at all mind oif that gets some love PS the moonhawk is not my photo, I dont have that mod At this time,
Yeah it is the valve covers and heads give it away they're exactly the same as the late 90s early 2000s Ford v8s.
The modern traction control our cars have doesn't really compare to the old style traction control you are talking about. As far as I know, all that would do is applying brake on the wheel that is spinning faster than the other, so kinda like a worse version of a limited slip differential. (I might be wrong, haven't researched this much, but I know this is what it would do on some heavier vehicles so it's reasonable to assume it was the same on normal cars.) The implementation we have is a lot more complex, tied to all kinds of sensors. Older one would have to be coded from scratch. Even the 90s traction control is not really something we can simulate right now because our TC is tied to the whole driving safety electronics system. Generally this kind of stuff takes a long time to develop in game and is not usually worth the time compared to some other more needed systems
Interesting, I thought it revved too low for it to be anything but a pushrod. Maybe I’m just profiling OHV though, my bad.
Don't see why they would do that, as the K Series and 800 Series were remastered in 0.28. Also how is that update already 2 years old what
Ah, a'ight, that makes sense. To be fair, it's perfectly fine if the Moonhawk and Barstow don't get driving assists - many cars of their era didn't even have power steering or radial tires, let alone traction control. I was more suggesting it as a possibility. We have had a large November/December update every year since 2015, and no major December update has been released after the 15th of December since 2019. I doubt the devs would want to delay the update beyond the 15th, since they take a break around Christmas and would want to get major bugs fixed before then. To be fair, 0.31 had its first teaser on the 14th of November (and released on the 14th of December), so, it wouldn't be the first time that teasers have released close to the update. That probably would be too close to the Bluebuck or GM, but hopefully, a Moonhawk sedan will come in the near future. (Technically, the GM's frame could be used for a '70s full-size sedan, like how the '92-'03 Crown Vics shared their frame with the previous-gen Ford LTD/Crown Vic.)
I totally understand your argument about time and the structure of the DSEs, but the H-Series comes to my mind and it only has the TC part of the DSEs suite, without the ESC part. So it can be done. It certainly can take its time to be adapted to each 90s car, but it can be done.
oh HELL yes!! A massive engine that makes LESS power then a ( new ) corolla massive bumpers, And some parts in the back ( fuel tank welded doors ) could be a great derby car ( am more into keeping them alive lol ) Could also use a early muscle car ) older and slightly smaller then the barstow, Anyway on topic Not much to say, Would love to see some weather updates but no way to know what we even getting this dec yet, wait 6 days-ish to Hopefully find out
