The only official statement I know about said it wasn't on game, but that was before the summer IIRC. Even with the head designer out, that should be enough to get a decent chunk of work done on it.
That could mean that we may be seeing a vehicle in a category that, until now, has either been deficient or completely lacking, like a modern supercar (potentially hinted at by the V10 engine sound).
I'm more interested in getting some more features on sounds like removing muffler(s)/exhaust would make the engine sound much louder. Generally more advanced audio features. I guess it would be nice to have a car or two and a map in next update, but I mean they aren't the main priority for the devs.
So would I. In fact, I wonder if the placeholder sounds for cars like the Hopper, T-Series, Bolide, and Burnside (as well as the modern ETKs) will be replaced with new sounds.
I know, but perhaps the older/less-performance-oriented L6s (like in the Hopper, D-Series/H-Series/Roamer, Moonhawk and Barstow) are going to get their own L6 sound(s), and then the T-Series will get a big diesel L6 sound to go with its big diesel L6.
All of the sounds are still way better than they were before, so you should be happy and not complain that each specific engine didn't get its own engine sound and be happy that the old covet sound will not destroy your ears every time you spawn it up.
Oh so your microwave doesnt have the fast Rotation option with the chevy 9 litre v8? I love mine with that option but stuff like milk sadly spills all over the microwave then
Now that your theory has come to light, it would be interesting to see what another dev can conjure up. I'm always hoping for more trucks, SUVs, wagons, and things of that nature. However, I'm not sure that they're even headed in that direction anymore; which makes me sad. I just hope that we can see some official updates to the D-Series, H-Series, and Roamer. They need more parts... and a little more love.
True, the new sound system is MUCH more realistic than the old sound system, and it's great that the groundwork have been laid so well. However, some of the vehicles could (and most likely will) get new sounds to better fit their engines, which will be made much easier now that the new sound system has been implemented.
Speaking of which, Beam doesn't implement a l3 or l5 engine sound. Guess the devs didn't want to cough up the Sonory licensing fees for those, or that it might come later.
From what I have seen, the development topic is really quiet for nearly a month now - could this mean that the update is rather soon? Or maybe we are receiving some great, yet unknown content, such as a car?
It will most likely be sounds and WCUSA, which WCUSA is almost guaranteed (so no more screenshots), and sounds are harder without a video for each one. Also, with the new features, they have to make a video on the highlight.
Sounds and the map isn't bad for the update, however, in my opinion, with this map, we could receive American car, because of lack of real American supercar, or sports car.
