I remember that, i think it was an i4 though. --- Post updated --- Then who's that purple haired J/freak?
It was an I4, and that was Jared (ferrettank), as previously mentioned. His purple hair is a new thing, though.
IIRC Leeloo (among others) has shown her face on a couple of podcasts before (If memory serves correct there was a Traxion podcast and an official livestream around the 0.27 release)
hey what if "Automation" got their own section of the forums to post stuff in? Or what if Beam.ng did another collab that added the new susper-speedway track from Automation?
Ooh, I am so glad to see confirmation of an official prewar car in the works! BeamNG is probably one of the best games for them, with the detailed suspension models allowing people to see how different such old cars really drove. Plus I just love prewar cars in general.
I think its a bruckell, because I remember people finding a file called "bruckel_i4_1929" or something along the lines of that --- Post updated --- and this new car would fit the lines of a late 20s early 30s car by design and cars then would have such engine
I do wonder if we will get more controllability that old cars had like a crank start or ignition timing (idk much abt old cars)
Man, I'm lovin' the new car! It looks gorgeous! I'm really curious to interact with this car and see how its interwar technologies are gonna be implemented in/by BeamNG! I also wanna see it boasting: 1) an Inline-8/a Straight-eight engine 2) a middle-hinged two-piece hood 3) the characteristic extra seats under the rear-hinged trunk cover 4) the winglet indicators on the B-Pillars 5) the characteristic clown-like horn and 6) a Landaulette version for its (seemingly) 4-door body style! edit: I forgot about the most basic feature of the era, which is the crank handle!
Another thing that a lot of carbureted cars had (even well into the '80s on cheaper compact models, like the Hyundai Excel) were manual chokes. I wonder if those will be a thing we can adjust on this '30s Bruckell - if so, they might be retroactively added to the Burnside, Bluebuck, Miramar, Piccolina, Barstow, and carbie'd Covet. The Moonhawk might be a bit too new to have a manual choke. However, apparently, according to this site, the first auto-choke came out in 1932 on an Oldsmobile, so maybe this Bruckell will also have an auto-choke, at least on some trims: https://www.motorera.com/history/hist04.htm I was going to say that Bruckell would be a bit too down-market to have a straight-eight, but apparently in the late-1920s, Hudson and Studebaker introduced straight-eights into their models (and Nash, REO, Buick, Olds, and Pontiac brought out straight-eights in the early-1930s), so it'd be perfectly reasonable for Bruckell to have one of those. I feel like the only issue with that is trying to find adequate sounds for a straight-eight.
pre war car ? hmm, time to chop the top put in a bruckel/gavril v8 in it and some alder power push chrome rims in 15/8
im gonna say it the devs have been working on this for a while i think since 0.27 --- Post updated --- but thats based the autobello truck from 0.27 that was in the folder
