then you could use it for paid car mods that we already have on the repo and which are lore friendly/aren't real cars.
What about those paid mods that have been out for years and are still full price? Should they have a reduced price or be free?
It depends on if the mod still works without issues, that's why a repo integration would be great too, it could prevent broken paid mods from staying on the repo if the devs make it so that paid mods that become outdated must either be updated or become free
Well, if BeamNG control the platform, then they can just pull down the mod if it goes X days/months without an update. Or pull it down if it gets enough negative reviews.
Are his mods on the repo? No. The internet is a lawless wasteland. There will always be chancers and scammers. Not saying this Tony guy is, he seems to be actually making stuff himself, its just overpriced. Feel free to not buy it. I'll ask again; do you really think BeamNG would burn their reputation by allowing that on the repo to be served in front of players *in-game* just for a little extra profit when they havent even done any paid DLC, a far less controversial and far more profitable avenue? Do you think in the extremely unlikely event that they did add paid mod support, that they would allow it to be completely unregulated to maximise the ruination of players perceptions?
Guys I speculate that paid mods. That way we can derail update speculation thread over it repeatedly until all we talk about is paid mods or until devs silence thread. Seriously, it's getting annoying reading through posts completely unrelated to the thread title and it needs to stop completely. Discuss it elsewhere
It’s sort of a reoccurring thing for the thread to go off-topic when there aren’t any update news, and besides they were discussing if they’d add paid mods to the repo, which is sort of update speculation (since the repo is connected to the game)
Yeh I agree. Though counterpoint is the topic is way too reoccurring in this thread to the point where it's constantly becoming the topic of discussion as suddenly everyone has something to say about it, and it's mostly about users a or b expressing their opinions on whether it's moral or not, rather than discussing implementations that could satisfy everyone or pointing to substantial evidence on support is being considered or not. Let's just cut back on these paid mod discussions and focus that energy elsewhere because the topic is only going to get hotter and hotter from here. Open a thread about paid content instead of blabbering about it here. That's a great idea
I think something like a "Map Pass" DLC would be awesome. I would pay for official DLC willingly, but paid mods can be all across the board, even if its regulated, you cannot be entirely sure what your gonna get quality and content wise. I doubt paid mods will be added, but if they are I feel they will push people away and hurt the companies reputation.
Guys, have everybody else spotted it before, that the Moonhawk has a "PlusTrak Limited Slip Differential Part"? I've been surfing throught the release notes from v0.32 to v0.24 major updates, but I couldn't find any info about this diff. Update: I've found that this is the only non-race LSD, so I might be wrong. Not sure what is "PlusTrak".
Mmmm Paid Mods Speculation Thread xD Bethesda had regulated mods repository and had a mod shop, so this wouldn't be anything new in gaming industry.
I think something else had a non-race LSD I swear I did cuz I never use the moonhawk 88 Pessima perhaps?
