Update Speculation thread

What could have happened

 

Either someone (or something) died, their all on vacation, they are working on a huge update and couldn't reply, or they were told not to replay as much if at all.

 

If I remember right, I don't even think tdev posted the final countdown before the last update dropped. Its giving me a sinking feeling.

 

Hopefully nothing died

 

I hope.

 

Lots of the team is active but there are numerous platforms to attend to (not just here). Wouldn’t become superstitious over slight changes in routine.

 

Probably from when they were developing the new suspension geometry that we saw in this update.

 

I know, but the main talker has not talked on this platform in over a week. He used to talk daily or every other day. And you never saw the others much in the first place!

 

What the heck are you talking about? They're busy developing the game. Jumping the gun to someone dying is crazy.

 

I didn't say someone died, I said MAYBE, then listed other things that could have happened. The main thing is, developing or not they still talked more in the past, and others have noticed this too.

 

Yes yes, I know. I just want to know what changed (if anything) and why it changed. (other than the fact they are working on the next update)

 

Until today where they, what i believe was accidental, released everything from the 0.32.tech update into the .drive version https://www.beamng.com/threads/0-32-discussion-thread.97843/page-34#post-1726093

The .tech version is specifically explaining it contains explicit features that just comes with it. These additions to the .drive version wherent mentioned but whoops here we are. No other game file is doing a license check but these.

 

Thats probably for career mode. My guess would be so you can renew your "license" and based on this the fines from cameras will be lower or higher if you are current or out of date.

that's not the license you are thinking of.

 

Not such a license. The features are checking for if you have a BeamNG.tech license. No other game feature in the .drive version does that

 

Oh crap, Is BeamNG.drive getting a gamepass?
