Yeah baby! That's what I've waiting for! If this isn't mod or some kind of testing and they really expanding ETK Map that's one of best news I can imagine. But firstly we need to wait like with COTA

Update Speculation:

I have been thinking about and noticing some things that could indeed hint at another truck in addition to the T-Series:

As other have mentioned before, us_semi.zip is awfully specific. Why go the extra mile - pun intended - when you dont plan on adding ?_semi.zip somewhere in the future?

The Pneumatic System is quite complex and well developed. It would be downright shameful to only use such an impressive system on a single vehicle.

The T-Series Build Years end surprisingly early. Why not make it run for much longer when similar - if modernized - vehicles have been driving arround and drive arround today? There is little reason for it not to run until at least the early 2000s in a similar if slightly modernized configuration. See the D-Series that besides being a pretty old vehicle gaining ABS, ESC and better engine accessories in later years. Little reason not to give the T-series the same treatment.... unless you already know that there is another vehicle in the works that can fill the role that a more modern T-series would serve.

By keeping the T-Series pretty old, you can also neatly fit into it having a cabover variant which due to changed regulations has all but mostly fallen out of favour in modern america. You can also handwave all the pesky questions about its lack of engine options and the generous amount of diesel soot it produces by pointing at its age. Its an old fat diesel that doesnt even have anything inbetween its turbocharger and exhaust muffler. Of course it smokes a lot under load. With that we make players happy who always dreamed about going on the road in such an old trusty workhorse. It however doesnt quite fit into the modern Belasco of 2023. Diesel exhaust has become quite unpopular in more densely populated regions nowadays and you likely wouldnt be allowed in with such an unfiltered dirty engine.

Developers in recent times focused on theme based updates. We got several offroad focused updates so following that scheme it would not be out of character for the developers to throw a second trucking/commercial vehicle/construction vehicle update right behind the first one.

While racing based updates have been hinted at, tire thermal and tire wear have clearly proven significant challenges so they are unlikely to appear anytime soon. Beyond those tire related issues, racing is already quite realistic in BeamNG and certainly does not stand in the way of an integration into career mode which is making most impressive progress.

Meanwhile, parts of the "Labourer" branch of Career mode are still in need of substantial development. Development that would go hand in hand with more commercial vehicle related content. Bus Mode has only received minimal improvements over the years (for example that bus stops now take the length of the bus into account (only when started from freeroam), yet busses are closely related technically with trucks in both real life and in the game. Thinking about it, it seems quite likely that the Pneumatic System will be in the future used on the Wentward Bus as both kneeling and opening doors on it already uses an suspiciously pneumatic sounding sound.
Further Labourer branch content was strongly hinted at and as such can be considered to be at least on the developers to do list. Having a modern truck would make modernizing or even adding a modern bus much easier as most of the systems are already there.

In fact I could see the developers maybe following a similar logic for the busses. An old smoking trusty workhouse bus for the Americans.... and a more modern cleaner one for Europe/Asia.

So we could get the T-Series and the Wentward with the Belasco Diesel Engine for playing "The Old Times" and a much more modern EU/Asia Truck with a bus variant based upon its more modern engineering.

But something that imho hints even stronger at an upcoming modern truck is one interesting little fact that is easily overlooked: ALL the heavy trailers in the game now have the option to equip Anti-Lock-Brakes. Which doesnt make much sense, because the only tractor we have in the game - the T-Series - cannot be equipped with ABS.
Or to be more precise, it cannot be equipped with ABS since 0.31. That is correct, before the remaster, the T-Series did have ABS.
So let me get this straight: The developers removed ABS from the T-Series when they remastered it, because it is to old for it. But at the same time, they added ABS to trailers that - correct me if I am wrong - did not have ABS before.

That doesnt make any sense. Why would you add ABS to trailers when there is no tractor available anymore that can also use it? And it cant be the air brake system, because the heavy trailers all use the new air brake system so clearly ABS with air brakes works in the game and a such does not explain why the T-Series did not also get it.

Of course this is speculation. But it is quite easy to make the conclusion that developers did what they did because they KNEW that there would a a modern tractor with ABS. Such a tractor would obviously benefit from having trailers with ABS, too. Otherwise there is very little reason why devs should add ABS to trailers while removing it from the tractor. This would also neatly explain why they made the T-Series older in the update.

- Modern European Heavy Duty Cabover with all the Bells and Whistles

- A smaller more agile Japanese Truck for the dense cities of Asia. Maybe even a Kei Car variant?

I don't really think it is the ETK map... It sounds kinda useless to expand that map that nobody uses
It would make more sense to be a different highway map related to trucking... but who knows... maybe it won't even make it to the real game and be just for bmng tech

The I-Series is a car manufactured by the fictional company ETK in a game called beamng.drive.
The car didn't receive an update for a very long time (since release iirc) and is a very ambitious car since it's a copy of a BMW.
And a remaster for this car would be very nice, since it's younger "brothers" received an update not too long ago (v.0.28.0)
Also, it would make sense for the remaster to occur in a euro update because the brand is supposed to be BMW, and BMW is German.
Also, ETK is German. And Germany is in Europe. (for those who didn't study geography or live in America)
