i swear to god every second we don't have a T-Series remaster, the community slowly grows more insane
Shame. But ok, let's not despair. After all, BeamNG already has some NASCAR-friendly car content, in the form of the Gavril Bluebuck Stock Car, with the venerable Gavril 423ci Ultra-Thrust V8. So if the Ellisbury Tri-oval eventually enters the game, NASCAR-themed content could evolve further down the line of updates than just offering the Gavril Bluebuck Stock Car. For example, I'd like to see the Bruckell Moonhawk or the Bastion get such a version, after all Bruckell V8s have a tremendous tuning potential, as proven by the various NA or Supercharged versions used for tuned variants of the cars, drag racing or, since the 0.27 Update and the Dunekicker, desert/stadium racing!
Wouldn't the Bastion require a custom chassis and carbon body panels because it is modern? I mean, the devs made the dunekicker and it's custom chassis so why not a similar one for on-road racing.
Maybe with the racing update, we could get some better drag transmission scripts Using the Moonhawk drag transmission, it hesitates before it shifts, which could free up alomost an entire second on every run I do
Yes. --- Post updated --- edit (8 minutes and 5 messages later because I just noticed lol): this is my 2,000 message! (i don’t think that’s good lol)
Good point, didn't think of that. Modern NASCAR racers indeed have a structure similar to the Dunekicker's, although I guess they don't have the fuel tank hanging in the rear end and sloshing around, spoiling the weight distribution in the process. Apart from NASCAR though, with a race dash update (GRD screen, multi shift lights, race pedals, race manual/sequential shifters, race handbrake, lightweight glass panes, lightweight dashboard and door panels), the Bastion could also have a racing version in the style of the Superstars V8 (or V8 Supercars, for our Aussie friends) racers, of the now deceased championship. Something like the Hotlap Special variant but in full racing form!
Lol no. A NASCAR truck chassis and the Dunekicker chassis are so drastically far apart. It would be like making a brand new car so why not start from scratch and deal with less headaches. Like look at these two and show me any similarities beyond both being “trucks” and tubeframe
Torque Converters are fine I'd say, but the DCTs shift like manuals (their downshifts specifically are really bad) and they shouldn't do that. Not to mention that when you put DCTs on launch mode and you abort the launch, they still want to turn the wheels on gear. Maybe a special "launch mode" map could be programmed in the software so neither the wheels get turned after aborting launch nor the DCT delays the car from moving on 1st gear without launch control.
That's me trying to implement a workaround for the incompatibility between this week's Windows Update and the drivers of some steering wheels, which is breaking ffb in some games including ours.
We haven’t had a teaser this week, I don’t think the devs love us anymore If they really loved us they’d leak the entire content of the update now
Or maybe but just maybe... Leeloo stated she will be posting teasers in an unpredictable pattern so that we won't become too riled up if there will be no teaser every (other) week
Nah I can't seem to find a workaround. You'll need to update the drivers and firmware (I assume those are thrustmaster wheels right?)
