I do hope that beyond the replacement of textures and meshes with higher quality variants, that we get some proper expansion and or development in the map to make it feel more full and detailed
Honestly I just want a quick travel to the top of the mountain so I don't have to always fly up there or drive all the way to the top when I feel like doing something stupid with the dam
WOW this is shocking. Its one of my most used maps. I love the snow lol. I wonder if more cars have strip car interior? and what other cars dont get remasters. BUT get more race parts
Yup, finally i may add, it's getting a bit outdated I sincerely hope they go a bit further than a simple PBR update and add a couple more roads or points of interest, just to fill up some empty spots
Tbh, I'd like to see the snow on the mountainous winding road be slippery. Ice is simulated on both the Gridmap and the Gridmap V2 and it's not far off what snow feels like in terms of slippage. Snow particles flying off the rolling tires (edit: and snow piling up after cars sliding around) are another matter though.
If you drive around up there rn you'll notice that the snowy/icy areas actually do have reduced friction, definitely enough to notice.
Yep, the road is full of ice patches, they're quite small but they're enough to make the car slide and then snap suddenly once the tires touch the tarmac (there's also a big patch at the end of the top parking lot, it's pretty scary if you hit it)
Which reminds me that I haven't driven in this map for ages... Definitely very interesting observations here!
why just expand the frosty parts of the map when we can probably have a winter-wonderland as the next map ?
it's like that because that's what race tracks used to look like. this is the nordschleife in the 1960s. looks like a normal country road, doesn't it?
Remove the curbs and it pretty much looks like it to this day. Devs, please release some minor hotfix on April 1st so that the forum burns again. It's been kinda boring here recently.
