That's pretty much what I meant there but couldn't find good words to describe it lol, it's a sign of good quality game development and part of management of expectations
I’m not sure if this is in the works, but I’d love to see a livestream during or after the launch of the update to sort of have the devs show off the labor of their love and interact with the community post release, like Keen Software House does with Space Engineers.
Yeah, especially the steering wheel lol. Do you have the FATT expansion pack? I forgot where it’s located, but it’s a really good mod.
interesting how Johnson Valley is a real place, usually beam maps are set in fictional places like utah or italy /s
lol. But I’m actually surprised that they made a 100% real place, like Firwood, Maine isn’t real but Maine is. I thought they would call it something like Desert Hills, California
I'd love to see that if they can work it out in a way that members of the CC program wouldn't feel like the team is poaching viewers from them. It'd be so much more interesting and encompasing to see team members talking about an update rather than from someone making videos to appease the YT algorithm
yeah, like looking up what johnson valley actually looks like (especially the offroad area) the beam map seems to be actually really accurate to it or at least the general vibe of it, which to be fair they've always done well with the irl-based maps
There already have been real cities/areas mentioned in the game - Utah has signs for the town of Richfield, Utah, and for Moab, so it's not entirely unreasonable for Johnson Valley to use its IRL name and be quite close to the IRL Johnson Valley. Likely because they all make sense to push together, since they're all off-road themed, much like how the Piccolina and Italy (and the Sunburst/Hirochi Raceway and the Automation cars/track) were pushed out together. Or perhaps there's a new feature (or several) coming out with 0.27 that necessitated the wait for these vehicles.
The official release date for any BeamNG content is "When It's Ready," so it's obviously because "It's Ready"
The last update was in September. The only way they could add more than half of the shown content is them having worked on it seperatly from the update cycle, then integrating it now. Then amount of teasers is higher than ever, but teasers are not a guarantee. I don't get my hopes up to not be disappointed.
