Leeloo is going to make a new teaser, she said so herself.

 

Hoping the new teaser reveals where the new map is, and shows us more about the FPU.

Well, scratch my idea

 

Wish we got some stuff on the K Series/800 revamp but ill take the gas station truck, should be interesting!

 

IIRC the controversy was over the fact that a real-life ATV had been photoshopped in, but there was none actually planned for BeamNG. I assume the concept art was made before the vehicle team had completely decided what they wanted to add in this update, which could have been clarified from the start, but I don't think it was anything more than an honest mistake. Not worth getting mad about it this close to the coolest update in a long time

can we just have a peacefully well-received teaser? We are so lucky to get pictures and videos of update content weekly and sometimes even bi-weekly.

AFAIK they never made a proper statement about it on reddit or twitter, only the forums and discord. It wasn't very popular on either platform but anyone who only lurks on those platforms still may not know the side-by-side isn't upcoming content

 

I think most, if not all, are. But it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.

 

"Concept art" does not mean "work in progress." People didn't get mad about Half-Life 2's concept art in 2003, and that promised way more unimplemented content than BeamNG ever could

Coincidentally, the new desert map looks sort of like the scrapped wasteland chapters of HL2, and I could see the beta Combine repurposing an Autobello truck as a troop carrier for conscripts

If we can stop following blindly.
Criticism in a respectful manner is very important but too many people follow blindly.
Of course there is the other extreme too were people are not behaving at all but argument could be thrown around sides like a basketball.

Yes, but that isn't how it was presented. It wasn't "here's some concept art", it's "here's a teaser tuesday post".
OT: "Johnson Valley" is the label on today's teaser... Called it.

 

Map Name confirmed : Johnson Valley. My guess is that the speculation of it being like KOH is correct because because that's where KOH is IRL. As for the Buggy I'm thinking its a Ultra 4 Style Vehicle which would match with KOH
