Does the area around the grille look kind of pixelated/lower quality? Also, why does the model just look like an automation mod almost? Idk
No it's just antialiasing not doing it's stuff there. The Pinzgauger had a 4 cylinders 2.4L petrol engine at first and they changed it later to a 6 cylinders 2.5L diesel engine. So it's possible I guess as the van seems so much based on it. But isn't there a i3 sound not use too? Maybe it has something to do to.
The new Autobello off-road van reminds me a bit of the Mitsubishi Delica 4x4 (specially if it turns out to be a small vehicle, just like the Delica). I have seen one recently (they're rare in South America), and I was surprised by its big ground clearance.
for the name, I propose we call it the "Squadratolino". we already have the "little one", so this can be the "boxy one" I've seen some discussion about rear-wheel steering, and it's not impossible for this to use the exact same suspension on the front and rear, so there wouldn't be that much involved in engineering to make that work. that being said, i'd expect a vehicle like this to have more basic direct counter-steering rather than the back-and-forth road handling setup seen on the pessima, so it's unlikely it has 4WS. as for engines, the VW LT was never offered with a VW flat-4, so I don't think it's likely this will get the piccolina engine, rather, probably a bunch of entirely new engines (I can't wait to put the diesel I6 in a bolide ) considering they're developing the 70s-80s autobello lore, and baja bugs are typically made with later beetles, is there a possibility we might see them extend the piccolina's model years with more facelifts?
is it just me, or did anybody think of a Dakar truck when they first saw the teaser for the autobello van?
The foglights under the bumper are awesome, right? The shape of the grille is odd, why is it diagonal slanted on both sides? (Inside the grille, the actual opening) --- Post updated --- I hope the interior actually looks like this; because I love driving in this type of interior.
I wish it will have a similar frame to Pinzgauer, it would be really interesting to have a new type of frame in the game.
It is actually interesting to think about what they’ll do with the interior on this one. There are so many different things that can be done in so many different ways.
By the looks of what i can see in the latest teaser, it would seem that it has a "spine" style chassis which would mean a whole slew of body styles maybe even a sideboard style truck or a ragtop sort of transporter.
The new Pickle van looks exciting. it definitely was a bit out of left field. I imagine there would be no shortage of Military and service variations. I wonder if anyone has suggested Podolica as the name, it's a breed of cow in southern Italy. It's fitting as it references both the real life Pinzgauer and it sounds similar to the name Piccolina.
I will say, judging by how far apart the front seats are, this seems to be more of a heavy duty truck rather than a small, off-road van, including myself, I think most people originally thought that it would be a lot smaller.
The back of the van is interesting, with a single door with a window and no other windows, I would have thought it would have had windows next to the door
