don't forget the jargl dt825 becoming the wentward dt40l, one of those bruckell names was meant to be the legran wagon, and arguably the charmand 1304 became the vivace.
Bruh, I barely have the time to finish our blogs and changelog on time, what scripts? The only text they get is 1) a list of highlights to check out 2) reminder to include the disclaimer that this was filmed on pre release version 3) the date of when the embargo is lifted
well there's always posts of devs about new tech anyway, it just isnt posted on fb or twatter --- Post updated --- nah too flat, whould be extremely boring, you already have mods for that kind of maps --- Post updated --- you are the personification of windows explorer aren't you? we discussed that pages ago
The Trophy Truck is indeed RWD but there's no way the Devs leave it strictly like this. I mean, the choice of making the D-Series Prerunner 4WD/AWD is also given for anyone who wants it. The new 6x6 does look like the Beaver.
going back to the whole balancing thing, it would make sense if they leave the trophy truck RWD only, as it gives the heavier, less-suspensioned prerunner at with one competitive edge.
This new amphibious vehicle could be the right opportunity to introduce water splashes sound effects, don't you think ? I remember when they implemented specific friction sounds for dirt, sand, wood, metal, etc., that completely transcended the driving experience in BeamNG, at least for me. Therefore I am quite excited for the next evolution in that domain.
Or they could make rwd configs meant to go against the prerunner, and 4WD meant for Dakar or races against itself
It would be cool, but lately, the devs don't tend to do be doing big racetracks. That might be due to how WCA's racetrack was received, but the problem a lot of people had wasn't the racetrack itself - it was that it was placed right in the middle of the first proper city map in Beam, forcing the surrounding areas (especially the city) to be relatively tiny. Adding onto this: The LKS Prerunner (which was made by Stoat) had a rather...mixed reaction from quite a few people since that was high horsepower and RWD only. That might have given some feedback for the D-Runner/Crawler, since that's pretty much a whole new truck compared to the regular D-Series, but it still has got 4WD as an option. And there's also the ever-growing trend with the newer vehicles of "throw 4WD/AWD in the car to satiate the keyboard scrublords". The Scintilla, Bastion, and FCV all come with AWD, and they're vehicles made within the last three years. Considering this is also a modern vehicle, and could also be a frame used for multiple off-road racing classes, I don't think 4WD/AWD is too far off for the new truck. Modern trophy trucks are moving towards AWD; some other classes, like SCORE Class 1 buggies, don't have any restrictions on AWD, either, AFAIK. Class 1 buggies are mandated to be rear- or mid-engine, and judging by how much space is in the back of the trophy truck, I think a Bastion V8 could fit back there with few - if any - issues. A Class 1 buggy would be fucking fantastic for high-speed exploration in Beam, if it can be made even semi-realistically from the trophy truck frame with little effort. While yes, the devs could just rip the bodywork off the trophy truck and call it a Class 1 buggy, they've been getting more thorough about following IRL racing regulations (BTCC Pessima, Group 4/5 Bolides) and have been more willing to make very different versions of the same vehicle (Covet MR, LeGran Wagon, the entirety of the Gavril truck platform remastering). And the devs have been getting better at making "modular" vehicles, too. Perhaps the "Tyrannos buggy" was a Class 1 based off the trophy truck?
I feel very strongly that the new map is based on the Arizona State terrain around the town of Prescott.
Why are you people so certain this is going to be 6x6? The Labrador is 8x8 and we are already getting an 6x6 with the "fire truck". Q
I would be incredibly surprised if we only get one drivetrain config of the XTV. I imagine both 6x6 and 8x8 will be available, like we have the 3 and 4 wheeled Pigeon/Wigeon.
There is no replacement for displacement! except boosted displacement --- Post updated --- Yeah, i think so too. This will probably will be a really versatile platform
