Update Speculation thread

On that first point, I used to think this would end up getting delayed to the winter holidays because of career mode, but it now seems highly likely that it will be released as early as next week. Maybe I'm biased because I expected to have to wait longer.

 

I feel like I I heard something a while back about deformable terrain, was that true or no? Probably not. it was probably just right after 0.25 in this thread

Yeah. I used to think so until tdev answered my question about the 3 months cycle and even more today that the creator program was updated.
Also. Now, months after the last delayed update, I don't really know why we got no words from devs relating to the delay, would have been so much better if we had a "update will be delayed 2 months", or at least not to expect it as soon as it was expected from them.

 

SO we are near the update. Just thinking i think either sedan/wagon covet either not going to be a thing. or they want to leave it a surprise.

Also as @minivanlover11 said. I will enjoy the old covet while i can also


I cant wait to get the covet. Get a DX with old paint. Carby. Like a beater version and play GG allin

ANYAWY back in topic.

Seems like a update always has some other goodies. So I think maybe we may get some new parts/configs for the other cars ( not a remaster ) maybe the ETK parts where just parts.

I think we may get more PBR

edit. Now is also a good time to enjoy the Covet mods. as well or mods based on covet.

 

Tdev did make an offhand reference to it in the Q&A, but that was one of the "maybe some time in the next 10 years" things.

 

I can see BeamNG being a game like Minecraft where there is a cycle of people loving it then no one plays it then people love it again.

 

a large part is also that nearly all of the casual chat has migrated to the official discord server, leaving only a handful of people active on the forums.

 

And Reddit BeamNG has like no one now

 

I agree its been slower but we were overhyped about 0.25 and probably a bit thursty for more content due to 6-something months since 0.24, its been a shorter time since the last update now, its been summer in Europe so many of us here been busy doing summer things instead of eyeballing the beamng channels, the pandemics critical phase is over and people are getting back to work and schools.

Overall i like the run up to 0.26 more thanks to the more relaxed forum

 

For me teasers wasn't exciting. We know that Covet will be FWD/RWD/AWD, have engine on back and V6 or V8 but more like V6 because of Pessima. If last teaser contained sound I would be hyped and discuss that more and more like in Scintilla case but teasers pointing out things we already know. I was excited about first teaser of Covet but next teasers were about same thing over and over again. We know about Covet from 9 months so hype is more stabilised than was before. This is my opinion, sorry for hurting anyone by writing it.

Just joking of course, it's just that under no circumstance do I think Minecraft should be on the same sentence as BeamNG.

No problem, you just expressed your opinion and I actually agree. The remastered Covet has been teased to us since late January 2022, so almost 8 months have soured our wait a bit, without this meaning that the car got less interesting in the process. It's just that the Scintilla proved to be a complicated car due to its modern electronics and aerodynamics and it took extra time to complete.
As for the No Bumper teaser, I guess there was no sound in it exactly for making us speculate the engine and transmission details of the Covet MR Rally.

 

To be fair seeing the same Teaser only made the hype for me.

BUT i think everyone is not posting span as as said. We know what is coming

How about a fox that has AI that fixes the bugs. And a dog that makes the beamng staff coffees


OT. I wonder if the right hand drive. Will be aselectable via the Dash. ( I.E RHD dash/LHD dash. Or Facelift RHD dash Facelift LHD dash ect ) IF there is a Sedan. I will make a Aussie base model beater
