Update Speculation thread

We hadn’t gotten 0.25 yet, but I believe he meant it as 0.25 is this update, 0.26 is the next update, and 0.27 the update after next.


This is also a hidden leak. We now know 0.26 will be called The Next Update and 0.27 The Update After Next. Does this reveal any details about the features of these updates?

 

You're right, the Q&A session in here was developed sometime in late May, so there's still a chance he meant the 0.26. But in any case, the Career Mode needs to be polished before coming in the game.

 

I'm more excited for tire thermal than for carrer mode tho... Tire Thermals were confirmed for 0.26 by tdev, Carrer mode was left ambiguous on purpose

 

I completely forgot about Tire Thermals. Yep, they're more important than the Career Mode because they're gonna be the foundation for taking the in-game driving experience one step further in terms of realism. And they're gonna complement the Brake Thermals in this mission too.

But seriously, any ideas on what could come with Mr. Turbo that we haven't thought of?

 

I think you will find ( maybe ) possibly that the Covet was ONLY going to get the MR Turbo and the remaster. BUT now that everyone wants ( like myself ) wants a Sedan and CRX type of covet. Maybe they postponed it To add more body styles.

And/Or maybe the last update took so long as the Scintilla was a pain to make.

Also tire thermals and grear shifts will make the aussie burnout more fun.

I think with all the hype if it was later ( like Dec ) a Dev would of told us by now but you never know. time will tell

EDIT what does he mean by the lock. when he says hopeful we can get some things done before the lock?

Does that mean feature freeze?

If so. lets say a week or 2 or ( adding stuff )

then 2 weeks of testiting

makes it oct


then 2 to 4 weeks of Creator program.

I think its oct update i think may be wrong.

i dont understand why an ingame j beam editor would be good for the regular player
for moders i understand that it would be a godsend

 

what is good for mooders, will be in the long run be good for the regular player.

Hmm, looks like I was wrong again. The fact that we have a screenshot of 0.26 RELEASE means we're in the feature freeze and the update probably will drop some time this month. I speculate that it will not have career mode, which is fine by me, frankly I think this game should go a different, more scenario-oriented direction in gameplay and would rather see career mode quietly discontinued, but that's just my opinion

 

Well tdev said it will have career mode and they have been working on it for years i think, so i hope it gets into 0.26
