You're going to want a big steering wheel on a FWD vehicle with uneven half-shafts and no power steering... I also think it's somewhat because of the camera angle that it looks so big
WOW i love it. I love the wheel ( gimme big wheel ) BUT one thing. I see unleaded fuel Only i love it. I cant wait for the red color I ( I love red color )and RHD
The brake pedal still seems way to wide for a car with a manual. I think it should have a shape more like this (new shape in red) (If you can‘t see the pedal try brightening you screen)
Remember the video posted by a dev with the ignition settings? That sounds cool but is there any possibility devs have mentioned an idle stop- start system at any time? That would be a great improvement for modern cars and simulating real life driving. Maybe even that the engine will only shut off, if it is warm enugh. I could imagine this beeing included in the coming update, too
Exactly, I've driven the late 2000s kei car with no power steering. You will literally perform a muscle workout when steer it.
Classic old-school Mercedes way of thinking this one. That's what old Mercedes mechanics said, in case the power steering fails, you gotta have a large diameter wheel so as you can still turn the car! And I can confirm this too, as my Hyundai Atos has no power steering complete with a normal sized steering wheel and its alloy wheels are a bit too large and heavy for the car to balance the weight of the steering, so I always have to turn the car going at least with 1 km/h. Oh well, at least I have a great road feel, so it's kinda like a Lotus Elise. Kinda!
Yes, it is FWD! Nah, the Elan Mk2 had power steering! So it's kinda like a Lotus Elise in reverse then!
What about the Kia Elan? that was also a thing but they put their own engine in it instead of keeping the unit from Lotus iirc
I have driven a 4 ton mercedes sprinter ambulance without power steering before. This mantra isn't used at Mercedes anymore
My old man had a 1970's Chevy C70 (i think that was the model) with no power steering and the steering wheel was huge in some of the pictures he gave me.
Yup, that's why I said "old-school". Now, returning to Update Speculation, I'm curious about seeing the remastered Covet as a whole. The steel wheels we saw a few days ago look great and I can't wait to see them on the car. Plus, the special orange ZXi graphics of the 1.5 ZXi Special Edition must become colour independent because atm they can't be seen in any body colour other than white. As for the "Ibishu Blades" wheels, a silver variant with the outlines of the triangle holes painted black would look ace, as shown in this Reddit picture (pic No.4). https://www.reddit.com/r/BeamNG/comments/qwhz66/wheels/
That would be a big surprise, however, those seem to be blank switches like many economy cars in the 80s/90s/00s/10s/20s/forever have had. They could be used for traction control on/off, power mirrors, interior light dimming, fog lamps, cruise control, moonroof controls, etc.
some cars which even had all the options equipped came with blank switches, but I hope thats not the case in the covet
Really hope we get some more interior sounds now that we have animated shifters, hearing a shifting sound when shifting would be awesome for immersion.
