Realized something. Remember the teaser of the new rally covet silhouette? That had a wing. The MR turbo one didn’t have a wing. I think that the one with the wing is a rally variant, but MA, not MR.

Idk, since MR is mid engined RWD I thought MA is mid engined AWD. Guess people don’t call it that.

MR is mid-rear engined. This mean the engine is in front of the rear axle, as opposed to rear-engined which is behind the rear axle. There's no clue whether it's AWD or RWD, since after all the rally variant could be RWD.

 

Oh, I always thought it was mid engined rwd since FF and FR are also things meaning front engined fwd and front engined rwd.

Nope, MR is just generic mid engine RWD.
RMR is rear mid engine RWD, meaning the engine is behind the passenger compartment and in front of the rear axle.
FMR is front mid engine RWD, with the engine behind the front axle and in front of the passenger compartment.
What SNFriedM14 referred to as MA is generally called M4.
