I believe this also has to do with the lights turning on and some parts getting the same effect as in your picture (especially at night). This effect only happens on Orbit cam, doesn't happen on Cinematic cam.
No, it's simply about sorting out what transparent texture need to appear on top of the other. It's a common problem.
That only adds smudges to the windshield & lights on the cars (you can see it best on D-Series' windshield), doesn't make them dirty overall
I mean, how is this an update speculation? I could say this is updates related cause of new members but not speculations at all
Not sure if this has been considered before, but I highly anticipate that Italy will get PBR support and maybe a slight remaster in 0.25, just like how it was released for the first time in conjunction with the Piccolina in 0.15. Italian car? Italian map? It makes sense to me. PS, this is my first message on the forums after an eternity of lurking. Do not laugh.
You're not alone, we're all anticipating Italy to get PBR sometime. Also, a slight remastering/refreshing will only do this map good, although I don't see anything missing from it. Autobello certainly needs an expansion in its range of models. The Piccolina is amazing and a remastering will only do this car good too but it just can't be the only choice. A whole range of models based on the rear-mounted Flat-4 concept can be created.
i'd say that's more likely them finessing the way they did the emission on the vivace headlights, where they baked all the details of the scattered light from blender's cycles engine into the emission textures.
Yea, it's a possibility. But it looks like the reflector behind the glass is viewed from above. Like there is geometry behind the glass that's being refracted. It's also not something super crazy to achieve for the devs I guess since they recently have done pbr for both maps and cars. They know how to write shaders.
No there is no refraction support in beam currently. Other than pre rendered emission maps as was pointed out before.
