Update Speculation thread

I am not surprised some are still using 32 bit, I am surprised that resources has been spend on keeping a 32 bit version alive when according to their minimum requirements, it isn't actually supported.

 

Actually it doesn't say it's not supported, minimum requirements only states " Windows 7 Service Pack 1" but the recommend specs well recommends Windows 10 64 Bit but i guess that once 32 Bit goes away even the minimum will say 64 Bit or outright saying 32 Bit incompatible

 

But the minimum is 8 gb of ram. 32 bit only supports up to 4 gb.

 

Well.. maybe there's an error or the specs are not updated, don't know we'll see once 0.25 comes out if the specs have changed but yeah my bad

 

Ok... so what's your pronostic for the car on the drawn ? Wich we will get a reveal today (If I've understand correctly)

 

32-bit hardware is something that has basically been nuked from every single support channel possible. Most mainstream OS's, even those that got their start mainly on 32-bit PCs, have dropped support. Fedora, Ubuntu, and most notably Windows no longer have a 32-bit version of their most recent OS versions. tdev noted that the game has gotten to be so big that they have to manually get every game update manually approved by hb. Coming from experience, this game runs like trash in 32-bit mode. It provides no benefits, and it takes up game space. It should probably have been removed when Vista support was dropped 5 years ago.

 

The minimum specs probably are the minimum you need to play the game smoothly, but the game is still (barely) playable with lower specs

 

Only 1 mod was submitted to the repository today, does that give us a chance of something happening? It's not a holiday or anything, is it?

 

Well, most updates come around at this time, so lets wait, a little bit more, or maybe the update will come another day

I still think it's this tuesday, since the 22nd was last week

 

would be really nice if it released today but i fear it's too late in the day, they wouldnt have time to do any immediate bugfixes if it shipped with something game breaking

 

there's probably not a chance of it getting released today since i cant think of anything in 0.25 thats been legitimately confirmed aside from 32 bit removal but i hope we at least hear something from the devs
