Look at the rear tires & how wide they are; they don't really scream "hypercar" to me. If this trim will be a config, it will definitely be more of a higher-end supercar similiar to Lamborghini, Ferrari & McLaren rather than a hypercar like Koenigsegg or Bugatti. I'm no car design expert so take my blabbering with a grain of salt in case I do make a fool out of myself once the car is properly revealed, but so far I am holding onto my opinion of it being a supercar
i mean, it's a sketch, tires are most definitely not the most important part of it, it could totally be an oversight.
I mean since this is only concept art, it could totally go from this to something more hypercar like. might not, but its definitely going to look different when its out from this concept.
I'm wondering if this is going to effectively be 2 separate cars, in the same way as the regular bolide and the corse are. for example, ferrari presently makes the F8 tributo, and the SF90 stradale. while the SF90 does use a hybrid system to gain the extra power on top of the F8's already twin-turbo 720hp engine, and that's clearly off the table, what other ways of making more power could it reasonably have?
I could see an N/A V10 taking the place of a huracan-like thing in the model lineup, a N/A v12 being the aventador, and a pair of turbos on the v12 for the hypercar, like a sian. i also could see the v10 having a very big aftermarket.
I doubt the new car would be a hypercar because I just don't see them jumping straight to a full on hypercar before getting a supercar in game first.
Speaking of which, why not flip the script on the Bugatti Boilde and call this one "Civetta Chiron" or something... Anyways, I wonder, now that all maps have been remastered (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all were remastered), What happens map-wise? A new map, or more content on existing maps (like we got some additions to WCUSA- The distant gas station and the junkyard area, or like the road added to Italy after it was released)? Anyone has any evidence or specualtion?
i'd say that other than maybe a few more remaster touch-ups on ECA when they convert it to PBR, I don't think there's going to be any new content in the maps, at least until they need to make some locations look more specific for career mode. the extra towns and roads in Italy (and the port) were added in the first update after its release, they were added because the map was initially released incomplete, as they didn't want to hold up the whole of 0.16 just because of the map. as for WCUSA, that was the team returning to it and doing some heavy optimisation, which then gave them room for the extra meshes of the tunnels and the logistics warehouse.
The Community contest is pretty interesting, why would they suddenly feel a need for more T-Series missions? This makes a T-Series remaster very possible imo, considering the deadline this month probably even with the next update.
Very unlikely that they would add all the missions and then instantly break them with the T-Series remaster. The game generally lacks trucking missions so I guess that's the reason.
That's why I meant them to be added with the same update. The T-Series needs a remaster at some point in the next future and it would make sense to do that at the same time/before they add the missions, or as you said, it will need unnecessary work.
Concerning the woosh concept... I'm wondering if we will see any body styles for it; personally I would love to see a speedster supercar in game. One of my all time favorite supercars is the Sterling Moss, and there's been a few since then...2011 BMW 328 Hommage, 2012 Aventador J, 2013 Aston Martin CC100, 2019 Ferrari Monza SP1/2, 2020 McLaren Elva, and 2020 Aston Martin V12 Speedster. It would be a pretty cool new body style and a great ultra-special edition trim level.
I feel like the beam team has strayed away from the "cooler" engines as it's simply harder for them to get sounds for them. I doubt we'll be seeing a W layout anytime soon, sadly.
Agree. V10 is totally feasible though, because, correct me if I'm wrong, beam already has V10 sounds available for use. I would not be surprised to see 4.5-5.2L V10 inside the newest supercar, akın to real life supercars such as huracan or r8
