Update Speculation thread

Vendetta... The new car? Civetta Vendetta?

Finally this thread moved on from the engine discussions. I like engines as much as anyone else but man...it just became wishlisting at some point.

Career mode is something that I'm very interested in. Have the developers said anything about their vision of it? Or is there no official info on it at all?

 

Also, not sure if this is related to something, but they finally have started actually deleting some of the wiki. Some of the links are just dead and lead to 404s.

 

This kind of reward system and cash stuff are in the game for a long time right now, for at least 2 or 3 years if i'm not wrong, it isn't going to happen so soon, but when it happens, we'll be blown away, there just are other things the devs need to do before the Carrer mode, like reworking the Garage system they had (which would probably be used in Carrer mode and then got removed), aerodynamics improvement, and many other things

 

I've noticed that on a couple random posts in the dev blog section too... Not even the car crash 404 page they had, just a boring 404

 

For me, the most interesting thing technically still on the wiki is the one describing the IRC chat. It’s pretty much a blank template at this point, but it is still there, almost three years after it was shut down.

 

I do hope they've been adding what they removed to the new wiki instead of deleting it altogether, since I still frequent it often for jbeam and texturing assistance... The new wiki is much more intelligible, but it was also hugely unfinished and lacking in content when I last checked. (which of course is understandable and expected, since it is entirely brand new!)

 

beamNG need to focus on an FPS update in my opinion the FPS from about 0.23 from now has dropped a lot and they need to focus on it

Could be that Devs in next month show us a prototype of new car that will appear in spring update?

 

We don't know if the new Civetta will come in the next update, it seems like it's still in an early stage

 

new civetta is probably coming in 0.26

 

You guys are really just throwing random ideas backed by nothing out there at the moment. We have no clues from any of the teasers in which update the car is going to be released, and neither do we know if any progress other than the drawing(s) has been done on the car.
Please stop.

 

That's exactly what i said, all we have is a "early concept art" so it doesn't make sense to expect in the next update a couple of months away (unless the devs release more info)

 

People won’t stop because this thread has gone from update speculation to getting off on thinking about random beam cars… if there’s nothing to speculate don’t speculate.

 

I think its a case of next update .25 will be 2 remasters ( hopes for covet and moonhawk. I need a sedan version )
