A bit off-topic and I'm sorry. But TheSomething why are you speculating on 0.25/0.30, when you aren't even up to date on 0.24.1, You said you were using 0.23 before. On topic: I speculate next update will be available to our fingertips sometime in February/march and It will bring lots of excitement.
I find it most likely that it will release anywhere from early March to late April to match the normal three to four month update cycle. If they go for another 6 month wait it would like be in June-ish.
I Think it is too soon to predict any dates, we havn't been spoiled of anything new by the devs yet to speculate on how near we are to the next update, maybe it'll take longer but we'll have the rest of the maps updated to PBR or something like that. On topic of what could be the new vehicle, what kind of niche is still pending on BeamNG? We just got a Modern Muscle that was missing before, maybe some sort of modern hot hatch? That could tie up well with a Covet remaster but since it doesn't need a remaster as much as other cars, what other niche could it be?
You are 100% correct about predicting dates. It's too early, I'm just going off of the normal update schedule. About your suggestion for a modern hot hatch, we already have one. It's called a Vivace.
I literally forgot about the Vivace, but it seems weird to me as I actually never put it besides any other car, in my head I think of it as a CUV, specially because of the Tograc variant, but I guess this niche is already filled then.
And the weird treatment of the bumpers, the chrome headlight/marker light surroundings and the side chrome trim when some skins are applied (they become body coloured instead of being kept on being chrome). That said though, body coloured bumpers look very nice on the Sport versions of the Moonhawk! In general, the Moonhawk badly needs a remastering and a good content expansion. Also, for expanding the Bruckell lineup, I thought of a small, mid-70s, RWD Hatchback Pony Car (smaller and lighter than the Moonhawk) with Euro-inspired sleek aerodynamic design and optional T-Tops, which could share the Moonhawk's aerodynamic door mirrors and have some earlier versions of the 2.2/2.5/3.3/3.8/4.4 engines mounted longitudinally and coupled with the Moonhawk transmissions (3-Speed Manual, 3-Speed Automatic, 4-Speed Manual, 5-Speed Sport Manual)! And the name of it? The Bruckell Lombardia!
we have the vivace a niche that needs to be filled is the generic german rear engine porsche thing or a late 80's early 90's muscle blob
Rear engined like that we have the SBR4, although it isn't german, with the rear engine and a flat 4 it sure seems too similar, actually I don't know if the SBR4 is considered Middle Engine instead of Rear Engine, These things confuse me a lot.
i meant a classic one like a porsche 911 from 1968, and the SBR is rear engined rear engine means engine in the trunk, mid engine means engine where the rear seats would be
To bring something like that classic to BeamNG it would probably require a new brand, as it doesn't fit any other brand currently in game. But it would be a nice addition.
What do you think the next 2 or 3 updates have in store for us? My guess is: 0.25 - moonhawk remaster, Italy remaster, night/day overhaul, as well as weather 0.26 - both modern etks get remastered, new map, 0.27 - new car (a legendary jdm sports car, either the ibishu 320SX or hirochi EBSC), career mode I also have a weird feeling all this could be one update. No evidence nor any reason to believe, just feel 0.25 will be ridiculously massive.
horribly inaccurate map of what's coming, and by what's coming i mean what i want to come, in the next few updates 0.25: moonhawk remaster, probably with new car like a buick grand national and maybe some changes to ECUSA 0:26: new classic autobello porsche thing and weather 0.27: italy remaster (with better performance) and autobello remaster 0.28: new classic french car and french map??? 0:29: 80's barstow and barstow remaster???
Would be too similar to Italy If by "Classic" you mean "prewar", then I think this is unlikely. I don't think the devs would pass up the opportunity to add a classic American hot rod to the game Otherwise, I see the devs adding some sort of race config for the T-Series and maybe some more derby stuff to the Pigeon, both for their own respective classes career-mode wise. (T-Series racing would be fun late-game, and Pigeon demo derbies would be a blast early-game when there wouldn't be much spare cash to throw around).
How is Italy similar to France? Your profile says you are from Pennsylvania. That's like saying California and Montana are basically the same
