I gotta say the thing about the Bastion I'm most excited for isn't even the car itself (don't get me wrong, I'm definetly very excited for her), rather the possible uses for the top engine. I can imagine some very fun engine swaps, and there's potential for some fun future Bruckell's that can borrow it. Also, really hoping to see a thread for it soon. That section of the forums needs some updating...
Imagine the Bolide with a Bastion Hellcat-equivalent dropped in... Literally undriveable but think of the top speed!
Hehehehe!! --- Post updated --- Yep, that double-cream, top-of-the-line V8 could be used in many different swaps. Imagine a Pigeon Drag with it mounted on the bed! Or a Widebody Bolide, like vmlinuz said! Or a Widebody Covet, with a mid-engine swap! Or the classic solution, which is a restored Moonhawk with the new engine instead of the classic 378ci!
Well, i think the high revving v8 of the Bolide is way more interesting than the Bastion one, but it's just my preference.
Two very different engines at the end of the day (potentially). The Bolide uses dual overhead cams, whereas most American V8s use pushrods. Now, the Coyote engine from Ford, and consequently Voodoo and Predator derivatives(GT350 and GT500 powerplants respectively) use DOHC, like European V8s. the GT350 hits peak power at 7,500 RPM. I personally think the (or one of the) top trim Bastion engine/s will be analogous to that.
One thing I am hoping for is that someone will finally make a UTE based on the Bastion; the drivetrain & stuff will already be there, so pretty much a different body & interiour is needed
Yes, the bolide remaster is coming with the bastion. I mean they wouldn't have teased it this much if it wasn't lol
Probably fishing through the BeamNG HQ Trashbin to give us the high quality insiders we do so love him for.
I have discovered the filename of a Bruckell Bastion Configuration. Source: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\gameplay\missions\italy-arrive-011-portinoTour\info.json "rewardVehicleConfig":"Police OffRoad Beast", "rewardVehicleConfigPath":"vehicles/bastion/Police OffRoad Beast.pc", "rewardVehicleModel":"bastion", I have no idea what on earth this is, but speculate away.
