Update Speculation thread

I'd say the same thing about the Pessima and the Covet. Bland, boring, unimaginable. The ETKs have interesting engines (talking about the Inline-6s that is, because the Inline-4s are boring - plus, the gasoline Inline-4 shares the same sound with the Pessima/Covet and I don't find this as the best thing for a modern, refined German Inline-4) and their handling is also very nice.
But if ETK expand their lineup, they certainly have to add V8/V12 engines and more models!

 

Alright, so here is the general consensus on a few major things that I have found lurking and posting for a few weeks on this thread.

Bolide remaster: Probably not coming this update, considering how Stoat said it's not releasing imminently.

Career Mode: Might come out this update in an early form, missing tons of features, and not finished. (not a bad thing!)

Teased car: Probably not coming out this update. From what we can tell, there is no interior yet (except for a rearview mirror and it would take loads of work to make it happen by the scheduled November release.

(Almost certainly) NOT coming out this update:
The usual things, which are the H-Series sliding door, the V8-swapped 200BX, the mystery UI teased in 2018, etc.

 

This teaser was pretty well timed lol, no more *that* video discussion

 

ETK could also get a V10 in their engine lineup because there was one in the E60/61 5-series and E63/64 6-series.

 

Hear me out everyone, but it struck me that the reason for the delay could be to make sure everything works on the new Windows 11 release today/tomorrow, so it is likely that the size of the update is more a happy coincidence than anything else, and (assuming no massive issues) the update will be released by the end of October so we can still get our typical winter update. Thoughts?

 

windows 11 is 99% windows 10.

Yeah, under the hood, Windows 11 is basically just a bunch of visual changes plus the drop of 32-bit architecture. But it is otherwise the same compatibility-wise.

Update isn't coming out until at least mid-November, since there is going to be so much stuff in there. This was said by one of the devs (I think Tdev).

 

I feel like watching Update Speculation respond to a teaser is like watching a detective film in reverse: everyone starts out more or less on the money, before their theories drift increasingly wide of the mark. Everyone wants to have a hand in the conversation and express their enthusiasm, but once everything sane is said, the only original contribution they can make is babbling nonsense.

 

There is a visible interior and it is in-game, at least what we can see of it is, so I think we will get it this update.

Well in regards to the teaser Wednesday ( tuseday ) I wonder if we will get any new info/pics on car.

and also i got a feeling the car will be in next update when ever that is in Nov or dec.


Edit it looks like it has seats. If you look closely they look like the outline of seat. maybe wrong i dunno am sleepy and hyped lol

 

as shotty has released a grand marshal facelift, I'm pretty sure destiny states that the devs must bring out an official one and nearly immediately deprecate it.
but in all seriousness, the roofline's resemblance to the RoR omega, and the community's vocal desire for a modern US fullsize leads me to believe that this is in fact a modern Grand Marshal/Omega.
but if this is the case, could this be bringing the rest of the grand marshal's remaster?
and if so, will we get an omega variant of the 90s GM? (we already have the legran campagne for the 4wd wagon niche, so probably not)

 

Actually, I think you can even see an interior c pillar behind the seats- I'm not 100% sure what stage of development these would be implemented in, but nevertheless its a good sign.

 

Yep, forgot about the V10! Since a 3-liter Inline-6 fits perfectly in the engine compartment of the ETK 800, a V10 (quite possibly having two banks of 2.5-liter Inline-5s) could also fit perfectly.
But odds are good for a V8 (also quite possibly having two banks of 2-liter Inline-4s) being the more logical choice of a range topper, since the 800 isn't large enough of a car. It's only a Segment-D luxury car (or Midsize luxury car).
It all remains to be seen.

I don't really know how large of an update the Windows 11 are so I'm gonna assume that they have to go through some initial minor updates for everything to be sorted out.
As for the new car, I'll stick to the closest we know of official (or sort of official, anyway) words: mid-November at the earliest, Christmas Eve at the latest. Quality needs time.

The Gavril MV4 and G2 as well as many others were Gabester's (One of BeamNG's main vehicle designers) mods released for Rigs of Rods back when that game was fairly new. BeamNG is basically its sequel.

Also OT: if the teaser car does end up being a Moonhawk/Chargerish thing, does anyone think it will receive a normal model and a facelift model like the modern Charger?

 

I think it is pretty probable for the new car to be a modern muscle, it is one of the categories we still don't have and would be quite nice, it would be great for it to have a normal model and a facelift to add more customizations so it isn't bland like the K-Series (honestly it lacks a lot of customization even on the engine side, you can't do much to it), So I think having more options is great and is a trend in the last cars we had so far, The D-Series had a normal and a facelift model, the Wendover has a normal and a facelift model, the Widgeon "facelift" of sorts is it having 4 wheels. (Sorry for any mistakes or misunderstanding, English isn't my first language.

 

I dont have RoR, but the omega always looked like an H2 SUT with a bed cap to me. What actually was it?

 

Windows 11 is a little bit more of a change than that, but hopefully it won't matter
